Xbox One Release Date Hype??

Hello all, new here but couldn't help but chime in on a thought. As we all know we don't have a release date. Could MS be withholding this info just for publicity? I mean look at all the sites if you Google "Xbox one release date". If they give us a release date what is there to really talk about? Games? We know them. Hardware? We know it. Software/Apps/Accessories .. maybe. Even the PS4 forums are slowing down. They are talking about "what if's". MS is sitting back getting publicity as we keep these rumors alive. I'm not hating as I'm a Xbox guy but just curious to what ya'll think.

They have officially revealed that they are updating their systems. The CPU is being upgraded from 1.6 GHZ to 1.75 GHZ.

I wouldn't read too much into it. They probably want to let the hype stew itself a bit without having to do much work. They have just announced that console production is full speed ahead.

If I had to guess, I would put it at least a few weeks before/after the PS4. Missing out on Christmas sales won't do them any favors. Putting it too close to the PS4 release would make the two have to fight over consumers (which might not be a bad thing but my natural instinct is to assume they want to distance themselves from competing directly).

No, the CPU has had it's clock increased through software. It's not like they are yanking out the old CPU and putting in a new one.

And Albert Pinello said this is something they did a while ago, and just felt they could say it now that the console is in mass production.

I think people need to realize this clock change didn't happen 6 hours ago.

If you've ever been waiting for a new game console to come out, you know good and well that they keep you hanging while they keep the exact release date a huge secret. It's all part of the plan to entice us.

Got a date now! November 22nd in NA and parts of EU
