Seems robbers these days just love their next-gen consoles. According to Wishtv.com:

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was investigating Tuesday after a robbery at local GameStop, 3778 S. East St.

According to the police report, two suspects stormed the south side store demanding all of the XBOX Ones. The store didn’t carry any of the $500 game consoles.

So the men then forced the two workers to a back room, where they made the workers lay down as they tried to zip tie the employees. In the process, the thieves ripped a surveillance camera off the wall, and made away with nine PlayStation 4’s valued at $3,600.

"People are going to get over on people where they can that's the nature of humans,"said video game player Isham Crozier

24-Hour News 8 is looking into this investigation as police try to locate the robbers.

My thoughts? Whether it's the PS4 or Xbox One, it's still not good to robbing people of their stuff, especially if it's something from a retailer. Stores should definitely keep a close eye on who might try to rob them and hopefully, they can keep their supplies safe and sound. There's already been fights (as in brawls) about the consoles so keep a close eye. And anybody who's getting an Xbox One, keep yourselves safe when buying the console, as anybody can be a robber.

Yeah, gotta be careful these days. I heard a man got shot for his newly-bought PS4 a few days ago. Man, can't those thieves just let the people be with their new consoles? What's up with that? First, we got a couple who robs a man of his GTA V and now this? The world is really strange lately. Got to keep safe, fellow gamers.

My goodness, what is up with the world today? It's really no surprise to hear this but still, it hurts my hear that there are robbers out there who just rob the people of those consoles, especially retailers, who are trying to sell consoles to make a good profit. Sheesh man.

Well, I don't think the robbers opted for Xbox Ones for any reason other than the price. Higher price meant more money to them of course. These "news stories" seem a little odd to me, not to imply anything more... Like the iPhone : a robber will always steal it if he can, since it has good resale value, it doesn't mean anything else.

****ing thieves, they should all be kicked in the nuts...

Yeah, I heard that too. I think the guy was trying to sell the PS4 on craigslist or something. Sick world we live in. I can't believe that someone died over a gaming console. Imagine the family and friends of that man, and what they must be thinking.

If I were a robber I think I would have started out stealing the PS4. I think these robbers know very little about games. Yes, Xbox one costs more, so they can sell it for more. That is all that they know. What a shame for these people to take something they do not even know about to make some money. I wonder if they were let down when they found out they were not going to get the more expensive system. I hate to wish people harm, but I hate thieves, so I do hope they are caught.

Yeah I heard about the guy that died over the PS4, he was only 22 I think. And he died over a $400 dollar console, it just proves that people are *******s. I can't wait for this launch period to be over and the consoles to be widely available so that people calm down. Hopefully the thieves and the shooter both get caught because this is ridiculous.

I find this funny and annoying. Funny in the sense that hey, Xbox one sold out so they can't steal anything and annoying because they still steal stuff that isn't theirs to keep. Why don't they work and earn money the legal way instead of doing criminal acts.

This is really sad. Why the hell would anyone in their right mind kill someone just for a console. People should think first about the value of people's lives over material things.

Every time I come across stories like these, they always baffle me. Treading over the basic moral boundaries only netted them a little less than $3600 or so. I feel that, at the end of it all, the time they took to plan and muster the courage to pull this stunt could have been used to make a far greater profit margin bartering for or investing in the consoles in bulk. I assume they robbed the GameStop once they heard about the initial success both Microsoft and Sony had, and thought they could make a quick buck on Ebay or Amazon. There's no reason to believe either of these companies would have turned them down under these circumstances if they had a solid business plan instead. But oh well, it's their loss, AND they now have the police on their tails.

It's this kind of idiocy that pushes me to order them online and have them shipped to my door; and I'm so glad I did.

People will do anything to get their hands on a sold out or hot product! When GTA V came out, I heard a few stories of people getting bashed and robbed for the game on their way home. It's amazing to see what lengths people would go to just over a materialistic possession. Crazy!

Videogames are not that serious. I mean I can't see someone robbing a video game store demanding video games it just seems so pointless. I mean they are not that expensive and they are certainly not that serious.
