be honest it is a game i would buy on next gen... or xb1
its not a game they seem to rehash every year and if anything the dlc content would be expandable.. and since its music it proably would transfer over to whatever next version they create...

i never got it for 360 used because i knew i was getting a xb1 and knew it would get no use.

I thought about getting this game on 360 and came very close last Christmas. We have several guitar players in the house so I knew it would get a lot of play. We wound up getting some other games instead, though. I'm glad to hear it's coming to the One. I'll definitely be getting it.

I have about 12 hrs on the 360 version. I have no previous guitar experience and I am pretty impressed with how easy and fun it makes learning. A neighbor, who is a professional musician, came over and played it. He was pretty impressed and said he was gonna pick it up. It does a real good job of adjusting to your level of play. Unfortunately I let him play on my profile. Next time I went to play I had to reset things because I couldn't keep up. New dlc every week is cool too. I hope they will give me a cheap option to update to the One version.

That's great news! In my mind the music genre was kinda dead after they started pushing games out like crazy. I mean, most people I know have a plastic guitar someplace that they don't know what to do with. Never tried Rocksmith tho', just watched some videos and it looks pretty sweet!

If you do give it a try make sure you get a decent guitar. I started playing the original Rocksmith with one I picked up at a yard sale for free. I found it very frustrating and quit. When the Rocksmith 2014 came out I picked up a used Fender for about $300 and it is amazing the difference it makes. It is much easier to play with a better quality instrument.

Is this like a guitar hero esque game, I played Guitar Hero from the PS2 days, I had alot of fun with that... It would be nice to rock out agin on my 360, or if I ever get the Xbox One

sorta.. only you use a real guitar or electric guitar... basically it teaches you how to play a real instrument instead of button mashing
