Xbox 360 Rockstar Games Confirms 700 Missions confirmed For Online GTA V

The online multiplayer portion of GTA 5 also known as "GTA Online" gameplay footage was for the first time showcased by Rockstar Games. This was well received by the GTA community and critics as well. The games director for Rockstar Games, Leslie Benzies was the one who shared these details today saying that GTA online will feature more than 700 missions.

Wow now that sounds impressive, and keep in mind that they pledged to further update the system so we might see even more than this! I originally feared that the multiplayer in GTA 5 will be restrictive, but it really looks like I was wrong here. With 700 missions there will definitely be a lot to do. I just hope that those missions are actually varied, not just different variants of the same mission.

Honestly, I have no idea whether or not my friends and I will ever do the missions because I'm pretty sure that we'll be too busy ripping around the city in stolen cars, rampaging. 700 missions will definitely help with breaking up the mayhem a little bit, you know, some chores in between all the destruction

Same here man. I don't remeber doing a lot of missions in any of the GTA games. All I wanted to do from the outset was to wreck havoc and run everyone down

Wow, now that is something that I definitely wasn't expecting when it came to the online portion of the game. Like Nonsiccus said, I'm sure when me and my friends play online we will be pretty occupied doing some other mischievous activities. I can certainly see there being some time type of penalty for not completing the mission in a certain amount of time though.

Are these actual story-line missions, or are they side-quests? If they are story-line, and mandatory missions you have to do, then that is very impressive. Just think of how many side-missions there are including the 700 main missions. I personally thought there would be way less considering there were only 49-50 achievements on the website where the achievement list was leaked. Impressive.

I have a feeling there will be like 10 different types of missions like for example Assassination, Escort, etc... and the 700 missions will just be variations of these few types. It can't possibly be 700 completely unique missions, that would just be INSANE.

700 ?!?!? PS6 will be out by the time i have completed all them saying that i have completed gta vice city like 5 times so its not going to be to bad if i sweat it out like i'm going to.

That's a very impressive amount. GTA 5 has and apparently will continue to impress tons of people. From what I've read there's going to be 500 missions that are going to be constantly changing and then the other 200 are most likely going to be specialized replayable missions.

Since the game is so big and vast, I wonder if they will actaully add more land in DLC or just missions inside the city already, kinda like the GTA 4 DLC
