Shaun White Snowboarding is an uneven game that often feels at odds with itself. Still, I had fun making my way down the different mountains and riding with friends.

While the singleplayer campaign doesn't give gamers many reasons to stay engaged, we can envision a large online community racing, tricking and wagering while snowballs fly through the air. Because really, isn't that what snowboarding is all about?

Nearly every potential plus is a minus: the open world is artificial; the supposedly intuitive control scheme is actually counterintuitive; and the event types range from lackluster to merely okay.

Frustrating issues make Shaun White Snowboarding seem less like a downhill rush and more like an uphill grind.

I have to agree with all of the sub-par reviews. I really thought this would be a great game. I can't get the hang of it. The game is too touchy and I fall too often. The hills aren't that great either.

I wouldn't say sub-par but the game wasn't as good as I expected. Shaun White is all the rave! Really thought this would be better. I thought the courses would be better. I wasn't impressed like I thought I would be.
