Xbox One Should have added the options to customize the dashboard.

We can customize the dashboard with different background pictures and themes on the 360 so why don't Microsoft enable us to do that for the X1? Sure, we can change the colors of the tile but no background pictures? Or is there, and I just couldn't find it. I hope they'll add that in future updates because the it's very bland right now.

I don't have an X1 but I would hope the feature is still there. Besides, selling themes could be a source of revenue for them so there must be some themes at least?

I haven't seen any themes for it as of yet, but I definitely wouldn't be surprised if that added that in a future update. I agree-It is extra added revenue and there are some people I know that were always customizing their dashboard on the 360.

no its not an option.. and i think with the tile setup it covers 90% of a background picture so that would make that semi pointless.

i dont even see a point in the avatar to be honest. you use a avatar photo that shows you.. the little guy/girl that you would dress up does nothing.

Same here. I hope they have that kind of feature when I get one too. After all, a lot of users buy themes for their PS3, iPod, iPad... so why not for the X1?

Yeah, I agree. They should at least add some options. It's like what some said in that thread about what you'd do with the Xbox One OS. Some said they'd add the option to customize the theme.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind buying premium themes. As long as you can have distinct themes, I'm all cool for that. We'll see if they plan on doing this. And I'm sure a lot of users have been emailing to Microsoft every now and then about this.

Hope they can do. Premium themes are really nice, especially when they can add a little oomph to the ordinary theme. I just hope they can add that option in the near future.,

Good point. I hadn't really thought about the fact that the tiles DO take up most of the screen anyways. It does seem kind of pointless now that you said that.

As long as the price is reasonable. I'd hate to buy $10 themes. Those are way too pricey for me. But yeah, some premium themes can do!

Yeah, I really want more dashboard options. As I mentioned in another post, it seems as if Microsoft kinda rushed development for the XB1 in order to get it out the door before Christmas. The dashboard especially seems very rushed and not intuitive as it should be. Not sure why they drastically changed it from the 360. Hoping MS is in the process of fixing this.
