Below are the achievements for Silent Hill: Downpour, along with the number of achievement points you’ll receive and a summary on how to get each achievement.

Silent Hill: Downpour Achievement List

Capital Punishment (100)
Completed the game on the hard game difficulty setting, any ending
You will require at least two full playthroughs to get. This should not be difficult since when you die, you get your full health back. You will only use your first aid kit when very necessary. When you play on hard-game difficulty level, you will be required to spare some enemies towards the end so you will take less time.

Good Behavior (50)
Completed the game on any difficulty without killing any monsters
It is counted that you have killed an enemy when, once you incapacitate it, you finish it off while it is on the ground. If an enemy dies while you are fighting it, it will not be counted against you. Just make sure you fight any enemies you come across and spare the incapacitated ones.

Silent Hill Tour Guide (100)
Completed all side quests
To get this achievement, you have to do all the side quests in one go, except for ‘Digging up the Past’. Getting it in one playthrough is possible but a little harder. You can easily get it during your second playthrough.

Useless Trinkets (5)
Completed the "Digging up the Past" side quest
You will get this side quest only after you have finished the game once. During your second playthrough, dig up 6 of the 7 artifacts required and then save your game. Load up your saved game and go dig up the final artifact to unlock the achievement. If you don’t save the game after the second playthrough, you will have to play a third time.

Birdman (5)
Completed the "Bird Cage" side quest
The bird cages are 6 in total and are located all over Silent Hill. You will find a collectible which you will use to open a cage and free a blue bird. You will get this during your playthroughs as you collect mysteries and finish side quests.

Calling All Cars (5)
Completed the "All Points Bulletin" side quest
This side quest begins the moment you are spotted by one of the four police cars driving around Hillside. You can run on the roads deliberately so that you get spotted if you want to go for this achievement. Once it happens, enter the police station and go to the room with the chalkboard and radio. Recall the police cars by entering these numbers on the radio; D375, C466, B557, A648

Neighborhood Watch (5)
Completed the "Stolen Goods" side quest
Go to the apartment building, floor 3. Enter the apartment with the note on it. You will find the stolen goods when you move the bed. Return each stolen item to the apartment where it belongs in order to unlock this achievement.

Art Appreciation (5)
Completed "The Art Collector" side quest
There are 6 paintings in total scattered all around Silent Hill and in the Gallery area. You are required to collect all of them and finish the puzzle in the Gallery in order to unlock this achievement.

Silent Alarm (5)
Completed "The Bank" side quest
The bank is located on Lansdale Avenue on your map. Carry weapons and anything else you will need and then enter the bank and head downstairs. Enter the vault and try to open one of the deposit boxes. An alarm will go off and groups of enemies will come for you in the lobby. Defeat all of them to unlock this achievement.

Will Work For Food (5)
Completed the "Homeless" side quest
You are required to find Homer in the tunnels on Laymond Avenue and bring him 3 items; a candy bar which you will get from a vending machine in the alley after you exit the apartment, a coat from the Thrift store across the movie theater, and a fishing pole from the pier area of Pleasant river.

Cutting Room Floor (5)
Completed the "Cinéma Vérité" side quest
This is the first side quest you will take on in the new area of Silent Hill called Chastain Heights. First, enter the alley south of the Theater and follow the road that curves up and left. You will find a hardware store door with a light above it. Get a shotgun and the bulb and then head back to the Theater to complete the quest.

Turn Back Time (5)
Completed "The Gramophone" side quest
This is a short quest that should be very easy. On the West Side, just south of the movie theater, use a ladder you will find there to enter the building. Go upstairs into the main bedroom. Play the gramophone there and the man in the painting on the wall will leap out and attack you. Run to the painting and burn it with your lighter.

What's Your Sign? (5)
Completed the "Shadow Play" side quest
This is one of the most time-consuming side quests in the game. You are required to find all Shadow Play items and use your flashlight to copy the markings on the wall. You can take on this side quest later on the game, but you will start finding the items much earlier as you play.

Telltale Heart (5)
Completed the "Dead Man's Hand" side quest
Get off Rice Street at the pier area and head down the alley to the left. Follow the path until you find a back door and enter it. You will find a dead man with his heart ripped out and the quest will start here. Go down to the basement, follow the ladder and turn right. You will find the man’s heart and you are supposed to return it to his body to complete the quest. Be careful since there are enemies all over the place.

Dust to Dust (5)
Completed the "Ashes to Ashes" side quest
Start the quest by grabbing the urn inside the house on Pleasant River. Exit the house and head left to the piers. Go and sit on the bench at the end of the pier and examine the urn. Dump the ashes in the water in order to unlock the achievement.

Long Walk, Short Pier (5)
Completed the "Ribbons" side quest
This is a three-part side quest that will take you from Lansdale St to the pier in Pleasant river, and finally to an apartment next to the Theater. First, find the missing person poster on Lansdale St, and then the lunch box with the mysterious item. Inside it you will find the key to the apartment. Head there next to complete the side quest and unlock the achievement.

Spot the Difference (5)
Completed the "Mirror, Mirror" side quest
The best time to complete this is near the end of the game, before you take the boat to the prison. There is a house nearby. Enter it and look inside the mirror. Change anything that looks different. There are 5 things that may look different so you should compare them carefully. These are; TV on, dresser open, lamp on, picture is rotated correctly, and candle is lit.

Silence is Golden (20)
Killed or incapacitated 10 Screamers.
Screamers are some of the most common enemies you will come across in the game. They have different types of attacks for both close range and long range. If you are faced with multiple enemies, focus on the screamers first to avoid frustrations. Get 10 of them to unlock this achievement.

Shadow Boxer (20)
Killed or incapacitated 10 Dolls
You will first come across the Dolls in the basement of the first house south of the police station. They also appear in the Centennial building and St. Maria’s. This enemy will attack you using shadows, and when you kill one shadow you damage the doll. You can spot the shadows using an ordinary spotlight or a forensic spotlight once you have acquired one.

Piñata Party (20)
Killed or incapacitated 10 Weeping Bats
You will start meeting these monsters once you get to the Devil’s Pit. They are very tall and can crawl around on the ceilings. They have a long reach and can also drop down to attack you. These enemies are very rare in the game so fight and defeat each one you come across if you want to unlock the achievement.

Lockdown (20)
Killed or incapacitated 10 Prisoner Minions
These enemies will start appearing once you reach Silent Hill after you leave Devil’s Pit. They randomly spawn outside, especially when it is raining, and are of two different types; brawlers and stabbers. They are melee-based enemies so defeat them with melee yourself.

The Bigger They Are… (20)
Killed or incapacitated 10 Prisoner Juggernauts
These enemies can only be found in the Overlook Penitentiary. Dodge when they charge-attack and look for an opening to strike. You can also shoot them since you will have plenty of ammo in the prison. Make sure you kill each one you come across so that you unlock the achievement.

Fight or Flight? (20)
Escaped from 20 monsters
For you to be counted as having escaped from an enemy, you have to flee the fight without killing or incapacitating the enemy. The achievement may unlock randomly as you walk around Silent Hill without engaging in a fight with any enemies.

Silent Hill Historic Society (50)
Completed Murphy's Journal with all Mysteries
There are a total of 54 collectibles in the game, and you need 53 of them to fill the journal and unlock this achievement. Some of them are in the main story areas that you cannot backtrack to so you have to be very careful. You have to find them all in one playthrough.

Stay of Execution (25)
Incapacitated 20 monsters without killing them
During a fight, the enemies will go down when incapacitated. This means that they are not dead, and can get back up after some time. You will unlock this achievement as you go for some specific endings that require you not to finish off the enemies.

Gun Control (25)
Killed 25 monsters with the Pistol or Shotgun
Any weapon that is considered a firearm will help you get this achievement. Guns are not that rare but are easy to miss. Your supply of bullets is also limited, so use them wisely to finish off the enemies. If you are playing on easy, you will be able to finish the enemies on the ground with just one bullet.

Hypochondriac (10)
Used 20 First Aid Kits
The First Aid kits are usually easy to find in the game if you look inside most rooms. You will find them inside drawers or cabinets and you can hold as many as you want at any given time. In order to use them, you must be injured, with a health lower than 100%. Remember, you will lose all your first aid kits when you get on the boat to leave silent hill so ensure you unlock this achievement first by using them up.

Puzzle Master (100)
Completed the game on the hard puzzle difficulty setting, any ending
This is one of the options you will be given when you are starting a new game. On this difficulty setting, the puzzles will be a little harder, or may be found in different areas.
