Below are the achievements for Soul Calibur V, along with the number of achievement points you’ll receive and a summary on how to get each achievement.
Soulcalibur V Achievement List
History Repeats (5)
Battle in SOULCALIBUR V for the first time (excluding training and VS battle)
All you have to do is to load up your new SOULCALIBUR V game for the first time and play a match in any mode, except training and versus, and the achievement will be yours.
A Soul Coalesces (5)
Edit a player license
To edit your player license, you need to be at the Astral Home (Menu Screen) and then press [Start]. You will be given the option to edit your player license. Make sure you edit each section so that the achievement unlocks once you are through. Here is a video to help you. Direct Link.
Beginning of Destiny (5)
Register 3 rivals
This is very easy and straightforward. You can register an opponent at the end of an online match. Press [Y But] to bring up the opponent’s license, and then press [Start] to register him/her. Proof of a Fighter (15)
Win consecutive matches on Xbox LIVE
For this achievement, you are required to win two online matches back-to-back. This should not be hard as you can boost this and acquire it in player matches on Xbox LIVE.
Mercenary of War (20)
Fight 30 times on Xbox LIVE
You will eventually get this as you progress in the game. You can easily boost this with a friend online in player matches.
Strategist of War (25)
Fight 75 times on Xbox LIVE
You will eventually get this as you progress in the game. You can easily boost this with a friend online in player matches.
Hero Carved in History (50)
Fight 100 times on Xbox LIVE
You will eventually get this as you progress in the game. You can easily boost this with a friend online in player matches.
Carry Out Your Beliefs (10)
Win 5 times in one style on Xbox LIVE
For online matches, use the same character to win 5 matches and the achievement will unlock. This includes a created character that has one style. You can boost this with a friend if you want.
Courageous Warrior (25)
Win 20 times on Xbox LIVE
This may present quite a challenge to many people. To win many online matches, pick a character that you are very familiar with. You can also boost this achievement with a friend.
Conqueror of the Arena (100)
Win 50 times on Xbox LIVE
This may present quite a challenge to many people. To win many online matches, pick a character that you are very familiar with. You can also boost this achievement with a friend.
Synchronize DNA (5)
Use Ezio in a player match

Awakened to Violence (10)
Reach E4 rank in ranked match
When you play online matches, you earn points that add to your license. Whether you win or lose, you will earn some points towards your level progression. It is only after you reach D5 rank that you will start dropping points for every loss. You can boost this with your friends. For this achievement, you have to progress up to E4 rank to unlock it.

When you play online matches, you earn points that add to your license. Whether you win or lose, you will earn some points towards your level progression. Upload a replay of your win
To upload a replay of your win, select the Xbox LIVE menu and go to the screen with Xbox LIVE only options. Go to Replays and press [LB But] to get your “Battle Log”. Press [Start] and select a location for saving the matches you have in your “Battle Log”. Once you have done this, you can press [RB But] or look for ‘My Battles’ under ‘Replays’ and then hit [X But] to upload your replay.
Notes on Rivals (5)
Play back another player's replay
To play back another player’s replay, go to your rival player’s license and then hit [X But] to download a replay from them if they have saved any. After downloading, go to the replay viewer and watch it so that you unlock this achievement.

You need to understand the game very well to help you take on the A1-5 rank opponents. There are 240 opponents in total and you have to defeat 50 of them to unlock this achievement.

Quick Battle: defeat 150 warriors
In quick battle, you will encounter different opponents with various styles and titles. Some of these opponents are top SOULCALIBUR players or ghosts of developers. You need to understand the game very well to help you take on the A1-5 rank opponents. There are 240 opponents in total and you have to defeat 150 of them to unlock this achievement.
Sudden Temptation (40)
Quick Battle: defeat all warriors
In quick battle, you will encounter different opponents with various styles and titles. Some of these opponents are top SOULCALIBUR players or ghosts of developers. You need to understand the game very well to help you take on the A1-5 rank opponents. There are 240 opponents in total and you have to defeat all of them to unlock this achievement.
Perfect Trainee (20)
Arcade: clear Asia route

Purge of the Holy (10)
Story: clear episode 1
There are a total of 20 episodes in Story mode of the game. These episodes are not difficult at all and you should be able to clear them as you play along. For this achievement, you have to clear the first episode.
Shields Come Together (20)
Story: clear episode 8
There are a total of 20 episodes in Story mode of the game. These episodes are not difficult at all and you should be able to clear them as you play along. For this achievement, you have to clear the first 8 episodes.
Resurrection of Order (30)
Story: clear episode 16
There are a total of 20 episodes in Story mode of the game. These episodes are not difficult at all and you should be able to clear them as you play along. For this achievement, you have to clear the first 16 episodes.
Home is Faraway (80)
Story: clear final episode
There are a total of 20 episodes in Story mode of the game. These episodes are not difficult at all and you should be able to clear them as you play along. For this achievement, you have to clear all 20 episodes.
War Veteran (40)
Arcade: clear any route with difficulty set on hard
This should not be hard, especially if you are used to fighting games. The easiest route to do on Hard difficulty is the Asia route. This is because you can ring your opponents out quite easily at just about every stage on that route. The best characters to use here are Mitsurugi, Siegfried, Nightmare or Hilde.
Mask Another's Memory (20)
Arcade: clear a leaderboard route with a record better than your rival
Getting this achievement will depend on who your rival is and how good they are. First, your rival must play the Arcade mode and complete the ‘Leaderboard’ route. After your rival has set a time for the Leaderboard route, you have to beat that time in order to unlock this achievement.
Usurped True Name (20)
Quick Battle: win against 10 players with titles and use the obtained title on the player license
When you play Quick Battle and win against 10 different opponents, you will earn 10 different titles. After that, you can go to your player license and change your title to one of the titles that you have earned.
Pursuit of Obsession (15)
Quick Battle: defeat Harada TEKKEN
Getting to meet Harada TEKKEN naturally in Quick Battle will take some time. However, you can change the search criteria to (Area: Japan, Opponent Strength: Advanced) and his name will appear almost immediately. You can refresh a few times until you find him. Once you have found him, it will be very difficult to defeat him as he uses the style of the Devil Jin from the Tekken series. He also has the ability to spam all his moves into an irritating juggle.
No-hitter (30)
Ranked Match: win 10 times with Ezio
You can get this when going for ‘Conqueror of the Arena’. Play some matches as Ezio and win 10 of them this way to unlock this achievement. Ezio has many different moves that will surprise your opponents so getting this should not be hard at all.
Skills for Duels (50)
Legendary Souls: win with brave edge
To earn this achievement, you have to finish the last round of a match in the Legendary Souls mode with brave edge. Legendary mode is not an easy mode to play in so this will be quite challenging. The easiest character for brave edge is Alpha Patroklos by pressing (2aA+B+K).
Passionate Artist (20)
Creation: create a character with full-on coordination (used everything except for height)
When creating a character, after you have added all the parts that you want, change the colors of your attire parts to the exact same color. This means having the same hue and saturation all through. Do the same for your weapon colors and weapon stream color and you will unlock this achievement.
Colorful Illusion (10)
Creation: take a thumbnail by manually setting a decoration frame and background
After you have done all that you need on your created character, making a custom character thumbnail should be very simple. Choose from the large variety of backgrounds and images and make the necessary changes and you will unlock this achievement.
Fetal Soul (5)
Player level reaches 5
As you play through the Single Player modes, you will earn player points that level up your player profile. Whether you win or lose, you will earn some points that go towards leveling up your character. As you continue to level up, you will earn titles and additional costume parts. The maximum level is 99. For this achievement, you need to level up to 5.
Throbbing Soul (15)
Player level reaches 50
As you play through the Single Player modes, you will earn player points that level up your player profile. Whether you win or lose, you will earn some points that go towards leveling up your character. As you continue to level up, you will earn titles and additional costume parts. The maximum level is 99. For this achievement, you need to level up to 50.

Perform 20 grapple breaks
You perform a grapple break when your opponent tries to grab you but you repel the grab with another grapple, or a move that breaks the hold. You can earn this achievement in all modes except Practice and Versus. You can boost it with friends if you want.
Like a Flowing Stream (10)
Successfully perform a just guard 5 times
To perform a just guard, press and quickly release the guard button when your opponent attacks you. If successful, your character will move faster than during a normal guard, thus giving you a slight advantage for a quick attack. The just guard also works on the unblockable attacks. You can earn this achievement in all modes except Practice and Versus. You can boost it with friends if you want.
Momentary Pleasure (15)
Successfully perform an impact 100 times
To perform a guard impact, hold back in the direction that you are not facing and press A + B + K just moments before your opponent lands an attack. If successful, you will deflect the attack and there will be a green burst. You can earn this achievement in all modes except Practice and Versus. You can boost it with friends if you want.
Black Sword of Death (10)
K.O. with critical edge 30 times
To perform a critical edge, your critical gauge must be at 100%. Once you have this, input two quarter circles forward and press A + B + K. This will make your character perform a special attack. You can earn this achievement in all modes except Practice and Versus. You can boost it with friends if you want.
Hands of the Abyss (10)
Win by ring out 50 times
This should be easy enough. Just play matches like you do normally, but aim to ring your opponents out. You can earn this achievement in all modes except Practice and Versus. You can boost it with friends if you want.
Parrier of Swords (20)
Perfect win 50 times
A perfect win means winning a whole round without taking any damage at all during the entire fight. You can earn this achievement in all modes except Practice and Versus. You can boost it with friends if you want.
Wind of Battle (10)
Reach over 87,600 m in total movement distance in battle
You will get this eventually as you play the game. Whenever your character moves during any fight, the distance will be added to the count towards this achievement.
Alluring Kaleidoscope (10)
Land a brave edge 100 times
A brave edge refers to an enhanced version of some regular move. To perform a brave edge, you need 50% of the critical gauge, and the button inputs are different for each character. Perhaps the easiest character for performing a brave edge with is Alpha Patroklos by pressing (2aA+B+K).
Gale Forces (20)
K.O. the opponent 25 times with an attack after a quick move
You perform a quick move when you quickly double-tap the directional pad such that you quickly side-step. You will know you have performed it successfully when you see a dash of streams follow your character. Land the final blow immediately after. You can earn this achievement in all modes except Practice and Versus. You can boost it with friends if you want.
Never Ending Effort (10)
Land an attack 20,000 times
You will get this as you play the game along. Every time you land an attack in any match, it will count towards this attack.
Footprints of Soldiers (10)
Defeat 100 male characters
For this achievement, you have to defeat 100 male characters throughout the game in any game mode except Versus.
Give in to Temptation (10)
Defeat 100 female characters
For this achievement, you have to defeat 100 female characters throughout the game in any game mode except Versus.
Fancy of a Mad King (15)
Guard burst 30 times
You perform a guard burst when you destroy your opponent’s guard, giving you a slight opportunity for an attack. You can earn this achievement in all modes except Practice and Versus. You can boost it with friends if you want.
Lively Pub (5)
Change the BGM in options
From the main menu, go to options and then select stage music settings. Change the background music for one of the stages and the achievement will unlock soon after.

For this achievement, you have to defeat 100 female characters throughout the game in any game mode except Versus.

Guard burst 30 times
You perform a guard burst when you destroy your opponent’s guard, giving you a slight opportunity for an attack. You can earn this achievement in all modes except Practice and Versus. You can boost it with friends if you want.

Change the BGM in options
From the main menu, go to options and then select stage music settings. Change the background music for one of the stages and the achievement will unlock soon after.
