Hi I was just looking for your opinions. Have any you bought for past systems or are planning to buy for the xbone, the square trade protection plan? I believe it starts at $60 and goes to around $100 for coverage for accidental damage due to handling?
I've never done it but have always bought AppleCare and the such for my phones and tablets and was thinking about it for the xbone. More do to the fact I have a little one who will be walking soon and touching stuff :-)

It depends are you often breaking your items? or does it happen hardly if your dropping or damaging anything a lot then id get it but if not don't its really a waste if your not going to use it often.

Woah, I hadn't even heard of such a thing. I agree with what Brad suggested, I guess. Get it if you usually end up with damaged stuff.

The only time I ever buy the protection plan is when it's for a device that I'm carrying around, like an iPod, who's screen can crack fairly easily. I think with a console, unless your moving it often or take it with you on a trip where it's going to get jostled you will be alright. Honestly I know a few Militart dudes that have stuffed 360s and PS3's in their sea bags and taken then underway and they've been fine. It's up to you though. If it makes you feel better go for it. I understand, the machines are not cheap.

I don't really believe in protection plans. There's so few times that things have broken and fallen under the programs when I did get them. Its like spinning a wheel. You have to assess your risk and make the best decision from that. The risk for me is pretty low. My xbox, sits high, gets air sprayed, cleaned and is connected to a surge protector. My first xbox lived 5 years with no issues. I'm hoping this second one does the same.

Here's hoping anyway.

Never got any insurance or security bundle for anything that i have bought, and luckily i never needed it. Maybe it's because i take care of all my things like they are the last in the world, but i never had problems with it.
