How often do you use strategy guides or look up information online when you are playing a game? Honestly, and I feel ashamed to admit this, but I do it for every game I play. A game is not fun if you are stuck.

I rarely use the game specific strategy guides. FAQs and questions on forums I use often.

I never buy strategy guides, but if I get stuck in a game, sure I'll google a solution. Sometimes you just get stuck in the wrong part of a game where the solution is not obvious. I know in a few of the Assassins Creed games I got kind of lost and just didn't see some solutions to missions. For as good as game developers are in pushing us to where we need to be, sometimes it isn't perfect. Sometimes, you look online and realize you were supposed to look left instead of right... in hindsight it looks painfully obvious but it happens.

I never buy them, I think It's a waste of money. I usually use sites like TrueAchievements or XboxAchievements.

Well I don't buy stuff like that but I do look for sites that do have info about strategy guides and walk through.

I just do a quick Google search. 9 times out of 10 there's a forum post about my exact problem.

I haven't used a strategy guide since I had an Xbox and PS2. They were hot back then. That and the featured game in a magazine getting it's walkthrough section.

I actually like to have a collection of strategy guides. I know that you can just look up your questions online, but I prefer to have all the answers right in front of me, in a book, rather than having to look all over the internet to find the answers I am looking for.

Gamefaqs and Google for me. I don't know, with so many little stuff that happens in the game that you never see in a strategy guide, I don't see the point. Sometimes, the thing you need help with is not even addressed in guides but is already addressed in Youtube so nope, Gamefaqs and Google for me.

I have supercheats, gamefaqs and yes good old google.

Me too. I'm not ashamed. Sometimes, we need that one little guide 'cuz hey, if you get consumed by the game for your whole life just cuz you can't pass through a boss, it's insanity already. So yes, at times, I'll need the guide.

Well I wouldn't mind if they can get a strategy guide on Xbox One but yeah either way, I have other sources.

Yeah, the sources I have are supercheats.com, ign.com, google.com and gamefaqs.com. Youtube works too.

Never bought a strategy guide my whole life. Like the other say, Google and other good sources like gamefaqs.com are there for you. Also, they're always updated and when you need some help at the moment, at least you'll get an answer. With a strategy guide bought at the store, well, it's only helpful at the time it was written but when you encounter something not addressed in the guide, then you got screwed. Might as well use the internet for your inquiries.

I've never bought a strategy guide but one did come free when I bought blood money back in the day. When I was younger if I got super stuck on something for more then about an hour I'd get fed up and look up a guide just for that one part. Only time I ever use them now though is for unshown collectables and depending on the game for easter eggs and stuff. I don't use them to get out of puzzles or a difficult section anymore as it feels much better when you figure it out youself.

That's right. But the only time I ever have to use a guide is if I played the game for hours and I stil haven't got out of it. Just a little hint does the trick (here's looking at you, Virtue's Last Reward's final sections).

Yeah, better use it just in case you can't find any solution to what you need to accomplish on the game.

I used to buy gameshark magazines and look into strategies online about my old consoles, Now I rarely do it, well mainly because I think that discovering new things on your own is quite better and it's also an accomplishment on my side.
