Below are the achievements for Darkness 2, along with the number of achievement points you’ll receive and a summary on how to get each achievement.
The Darkness 2 Achievement List
Free the Mind (25)
Finish the game on any difficulty
There are four difficulties in the game- Thug, Mobster, Hitman, Don. The key to playing the game is to keep your health full and purchase all upgrades as soon as possible. You can also save ammo by using glowing objects like javelins and explosives to kill enemies whenever possible. For this achievement, just pick any difficulty you are comfortable with.
Don of Darkness (100)
Finish the game on Don difficulty
Don is the hardest difficulty in the game, but you it should not be that hard if you are patient and you strategize carefully. You should go for this achievement in New Game+. This will enable you to start with all your talents and upgrades, which will be very helpful as you go through the game again. As you play along, ensure you eat your enemies’ hearts after you kill them to keep your health full. You should also make sure you get all upgrades as soon as they are available.
At Home in the Dark (50)
Finish all chapters in New Game+ on any difficulty
After completing the game for the first time, you will be able to start a new game on any difficulty with all the upgrades you purchased. You can also choose to replay any chapter. During the first playthrough, you must choose to leave the Asylum at the end; otherwise you will not be able to complete the last chapter. You can take this opportunity to play on Don Difficulty if you haven’t done so.
One Man Army (10)
Kill 25 enemies while being dragged from the restaurant, without dying or restarting checkpoint
You will get this at the very beginning of the game. You will be in a restaurant with your friend Vinnie when the Mob comes in and shoots you in the leg. Vinnie will drag you to a safe place from where you should shoot the enemies. There will be more than 25 enemies, and you have plenty of ammo. If you play on easy, you will only need one bullet for every kill.
The Bird is the Word (5)
Avoid being run over in the parking garage
During the mission after you have survived the interrogation, a car will try to run you over while you are in the parking garage. You can’t dodge or avoid it, so you will have to shoot at it. You can make things easier by using your Gun Channeling talent.
Carnie Kid (20)
Earn a score of over 1000 in each of the carnival games
During the game, you will at some point be abandoned in an amusement park. There will be a flashback of you and Jenny playing carnival games. You are required to score over 1000 in both the gun games. You can skip the repetitive cutscenes by pressing [B But].
Impish Delight (10)
Kill 15 enemies while playing as the Darkling
You will get two opportunities to play as the Darkling throughout the story. The first time, you won’t be able to kill more than 3 enemies, but the second time; you will have the chance to kill more than 15. To kill an enemy, sneak behind them and press [LB But]. There are some enemies you cannot kill while you are playing as the Darkling, and you will be able to see them in the light. Don’t try to kill an enemy who is moving or else you will die.
Executioner (10)
Kill 50 enemies with Executions while playing as Jackie
To execute an enemy, stun him first by throwing a light object at him or using your slash attack. Next, grab him by pressing [LB But] and then use [A But], [X But], [B But] or [Y But] to perform one of the different execution moves.
The Swarm King (10)
Kill 50 enemies who are swarmed while playing as Jackie
You first have to buy the Swarm Talent at a cost of 1000 Essence. For this achievement, you have to be playing as Jackie. When you are in a fight, press [B But] to swarm the enemies and then kill them using any method you want.
The Old Gibber (10)
Kill 100 enemies with Gun Channeling while playing as Jackie
You first have to buy the Gun Channeling Talent at a cost of 1000 Essence. When playing as Jackie and you get in a fight, press [Y But] to activate the talent and give you infinite ammo for a few seconds. This will also boost your gun’s damage.
Suck It Up (10)
Kill 50 enemies with Black Hole while playing as Jackie
You first have to unlock the Black Hole Talent by buying the following upgrades; Demonic Lift, Heart Health, Demon Blades and Black Hole. This will enable you to grab a black hole from a dead body instead of his heart using [LB But] You can then throw the black hole near enemies to kill them using [LB But].
Cut and Run (10)
Kill 50 enemies with the Demon Arm Slash attack
To kill an enemy with the Demon Arm Slash, you must press [RB But] and slash in any direction with [RS]. It might take more that one slash to kill an enemy, especially on higher difficulties. Repeat the process 50 times to unlock the achievement.
Ready for the Big Leagues (10)
Kill 50 enemies with thrown objects
During the game, you will randomly come across different objects that can be thrown at enemies. These include car doors, metal pieces, fans, pool sticks, pool sticks and sharp, impaling objects. You can grab them by pressing [LB But] and pressing it again to throw them.
Dark Akimbo (10)
Kill 100 enemies while dual wielding 2 different guns while playing as Jackie
To use your dual weapons, press [ D Down]. For this achievement, you need to have two different weapons. Dual weapons are not accurate so you have to take advantage of close range areas to kill enemies.
That's Why I'm the Boss (15)
Impress Dolfo in two different ways
For this achievement, load up ‘On the Hunt’ chapter and go find Dolfo on the outside balcony. Talk to him and then press [Y But] to choose two options; shooting bottles and shooting pigeons. You have to shoot all bottles within 10 seconds and at least 20 out of the 24 pigeons within the required time.
Karma's a Bitch (10)
Kill a shielded enemy with his own shield
When you are going to rescue Aunt Sarah, you will meet the first shield guy. Kill all the other enemies around him and use your slash attack to destroy the shield armor. Press [LB But] to steal his shield and then press it again to throw it at him. There are many other places that you can also get this achievement.
2 Guys 1 Pole (25)
Kill 2 enemies with one javelin
After you have completed the first mission and heard about Swifty, you will find yourself in an alley and you will open a door using your demon arm. Immediately the door opens, grab the javelin (pool stick) on the counter to your right using [LB But] and throw it [LB But] at the enemies the moment they are aligned. You can make this much easier by using the Swarm ability, since the enemies are stationary, and there will be several places for that.
Versatile Killer (20)
Kill enemies in 5 different ways within 30 seconds
You can start by setting the difficulty to Easy. Enter the area with all the enemies and shoot all the lights. Use [LB But] to throw a deadly object at someone. Use your swarm on an enemy by pressing [B But] and then use any gun to shoot him. For Gun Channeling, press [Y But] and then shoot using any gun. Use [LB But] to grab an enemy and then execute him by pressing [A But], [X But], [Y But] or [B But]. Finally, kill the last enemy using the slash attack by pressing [RB But] followed by [RS But].
Skeet Shoot (10)
Throw an enemy into the air and kill him with gunfire before he lands
Use [LB But] to grab an enemy and throw him above your head using [LB But] again. Shoot him while he still in the air. The assault rifle is good for this purpose.
Jackie's Got Talent (5)
Purchase a Talent in the single player campaign
There are a total of 28 Talents (4 trees) in the game that you will have to unlock. You buy them with Essence, which you get from making kills, eating hearts, finding relics and destroying lights. You can buy these Talents from Shrines that you will come across during the game. You need 36,800 Essence for every upgrade.

Max out 1 of Jackie's Talent Trees
There are a total of 28 Talents (4 trees) in the game that you will have to unlock. You buy them with Essence, which you get from making kills, eating hearts, finding relics and destroying lights. You can buy these Talents from Shrines that you will come across during the game. You need 36,800 Essence for every upgrade.

Max out 3 of Jackie's Talent Trees
There are a total of 28 Talents (4 trees) in the game that you will have to unlock. You buy them with Essence, which you get from making kills, eating hearts, finding relics and destroying lights. Talent Show (50)
Max out all of Jackie's Talent Trees
There are a total of 28 Talents (4 trees) in the game that you will have to unlock. You buy them with Essence, which you get from making kills, eating hearts, finding relics and destroying lights. You can buy these Talents from Shrines that you will come across during the game. You need 36,800 Essence for every upgrade. Even if you don’t manage to buy all the talents in your first playthrough, the count is cumulative so you will only buy the remaining ones when you start a new game.

Pick up 5 Relics in the single player campaign
There are 29 Relics for you to find throughout the game. Most of them are easy to find, but there are a few that will require you to search harder. If you purchased the Collector’s Edition of the game, you will find a code inside that enables you to see the hidden Relics behind walls.

Romantic (5)
Real guys know how to dance
During your playthrough, you will come across Jenny in a restaurant and she will ask you to dance with her. While the two of you are dancing together, you will be given the option to press [X But] to kiss her. Do not do that. Wait until the song ends so that you unlock this achievement.
Burned His Mansion (20)
Kill Luigi Palladino
You will get this at the end of chapter 3 in the ‘Vendetta’s Campaign’. You will pass a lone trailer near a wrecking ball and when you backtrack, he will be there. After overpowering him, place the C4 on his door and finish him once they fireworks go off.
Coward (20)
Kill Cedro Valdez
You will get this at the end of chapter 4 in the ‘Vendetta’s Campaign’. He will jump out of the back of a news van after some dialogue and then the fight will start. He is armored and uses a pump-action shot gun that he fires continuously. You will have to take cover as this can cause you a lot of damage. Use the Line of Sight around the van and shoot at him until he dies.
Whipping Boy (20)
Kill Frank Marshall
You can do this alone or with your friends on any difficulty. You have to complete the ‘Enter the Gauntlet’ mission in the first Hit List. The fight takes place in a junkyard arena and Frank is the Brotherhood member with the chain. There will also be several of the phasing Brotherhood members running around so watch out for them. Bonnie & Clyde Wannabes (20)
Kill Jean-Luc Lambert and Amelie Dubois
You will get this at the end of the sixth mission in the ‘Vendetta’s Campaign’. Take cover behind a box from where you can see a building with a company name above a platform. The two of them will teleport to the platform and shoot at you from there. Use charged shots against them until they teleport to the next area. Move up to the boxes just past the wire fence to the right. From here you will see them on top of a box to your left. Kill them to unlock this achievement.
Technical Difficulties (20)
Kill the NewsWatch 6 team of Tom Dawson, Bud Langley and Sara Stephens
For this achievement, you have to complete the ‘We Interrupt this Program’ mission in the fourth Hit List. You will have to defeat the three bosses and survive a wave of enemies. You can do it on ‘Thug’ difficulty or in co-op, and the best characters to use are Shoshanna and Inugami. Here is a video to help you. Direct Link.
The Brotherhood Crumbles (50)
Complete Vendettas Campaign
The Vendetta Campaign consists of 8 chapters that you have to complete in order to unlock this achievement. You can play solo or with your friends on any difficulty.

Embraced the Darkness (25)
In Vendettas, acquire all the talents for one character
Just like in the Single Player Campaign, every character in the Vendetta’s Campaign has Talent Trees. For this achievement, you have to fully upgrade the trees of any of the four characters’ JP Dumond, Jimmy Wilson, Shoshanna or Inugami. You can do this easily by playing solo on ‘Thug’ difficulty so that you earn 30 Essence instead of 10 for every enemy you execute.
You've Made My Hit List (25)
Complete 6 Hit List exclusive missions
There are a total of 18 Hit List missions in the game. 8 of these missions are found in the Vendetta Campaign and will not count towards this achievement. The remaining 10 missions are Hit List exclusive, meaning that they count towards this achievement. Out of these, 4 have to be done online with partners, while you can do the remaining 6 solo on any difficulty to unlock this achievement.

Cheque Please! (10)
Survive the hit
This is story-related and cannot be missed. You will get it during the Single Player Campaign after you finish the first level. It is mostly in the form of a tutorial so it should be easy.
I'm Just Getting Started (25)
Find and interrogate Swifty
This is story-related and cannot be missed. You will get it in Single Player Campaign during the second mission where you are required to find Swifty. When the floodlights are switched on, you can duck behind the wall closest to the pit and from there, you will be able to kill the gunmen and avoid the light. Here is a video to help you. Escape the Brotherhood (25)
Survive the interrogation
This is story-related and cannot be missed. You will get it in Single Player Campaign. All you have to do is to survive your interrogation by the Brotherhood and the achievement will unlock. Here is a video to help you out. Direct Link.

This is story-related and cannot be missed. You will get it in Single Player Campaign. You and Jenny will be on a Haunted House ride. A few of the Brotherhood will emerge and you should kill them right away. At the end of the ride, Jenny disappears and you get thrown into an Iron Maiden. The achievement should pop when the screen goes black.

Escape the asylum with help from the inside

Rescue Jackie from the Iron Maiden
This is story-related and cannot be missed. You will get it in Single Player Campaign. You will be in control of the Darkling during this segment so you must ensure you stay out of the light. The enemies are easy until you rescue Jackie, then they start using spot lights. This is a good chance to also get the Impish Delight achievement.
Step into Hell... (25)
Defeat Victor
This is story-related and cannot be missed. You will get it in Single Player Campaign. Here is a video to help you. Direct Link.
Decisions, Decisions (5)
Refuse to cooperate with Victor in the Interrogation
In the ‘Deal with The Devil’ chapter, three strange guys will crucify you and reclaim your darkness power. You will then be asked to choose which of your friends must die first. Do not make any choice; just wait if you want to unlock this achievement.
Should Have Called 555-2368… (10)
Survive the battle against the Hell Beast
You will unlock this achievement after you kill the boss in the final chapter of the Vendetta’s Campaign. He is very difficult to fight as you will find it hard to block his knock-back attacks and he spams enemies at you at every opportunity. The easiest way to do this is to play as Shoshanna and use a fully upgraded Arm of Darkness shotgun will full Gun Channeling.

For this achievement, you have to complete the ‘We Interrupt this Program’ mission in the fourth Hit List. You will have to defeat the three bosses and survive a wave of enemies. Embraced the Darkness (25)
In Vendettas, acquire all the talents for one character
Just like in the Single Player Campaign, every character in the Vendetta’s Campaign has Talent Trees. For this achievement, you have to fully upgrade the trees of any of the four characters’ JP Dumond, Jimmy Wilson, Shoshanna or Inugami. You can do this easily by playing solo on ‘Thug’ difficulty so that you earn 30 Essence instead of 10 for every enemy you execute.
You've Made My Hit List (25)
Complete 6 Hit List exclusive missions
There are a total of 18 Hit List missions in the game. 8 of these missions are found in the Vendetta Campaign and will not count towards this achievement. The remaining 10 missions are Hit List exclusive, meaning that they count towards this achievement. Out of these, 4 have to be done online with partners, while you can do the remaining 6 solo on any difficulty to unlock this achievement.

This is story-related and cannot be missed. You will get it during the Single Player Campaign after you finish the first level. It is mostly in the form of a tutorial so it should be easy.
I'm Just Getting Started (25)
Find and interrogate Swifty
This is story-related and cannot be missed. You will get it in Single Player Campaign during the second mission where you are required to find Swifty. When the floodlights are switched on, you can duck behind the wall closest to the pit and from there, you will be able to kill the gunmen and avoid the light. Here is a video to help you. Escape the Brotherhood (25)
Survive the interrogation
This is story-related and cannot be missed. You will get it in Single Player Campaign. All you have to do is to survive your interrogation by the Brotherhood and the achievement will unlock. Here is a video to help you out. Direct Link.

This is story-related and cannot be missed. You will get it in Single Player Campaign. You and Jenny will be on a Haunted House ride. A few of the Brotherhood will emerge and you should kill them right away. At the end of the ride, Jenny disappears and you get thrown into an Iron Maiden. The achievement should pop when the screen goes black.

Rescue Jackie from the Iron Maiden
This is story-related and cannot be missed. You will get it in Single Player Campaign. You will be in control of the Darkling during this segment so you must ensure you stay out of the light. The enemies are easy until you rescue Jackie, then they start using spot lights. This is a good chance to also get the Impish Delight achievement.
Step into Hell... (25)

Refuse to cooperate with Victor in the Interrogation
In the ‘Deal with The Devil’ chapter, three strange guys will crucify you and reclaim your darkness power. You will then be asked to choose which of your friends must die first. Do not make any choice; just wait if you want to unlock this achievement.
Should Have Called 555-2368… (10)
Survive the battle against the Hell Beast
You will unlock this achievement after you kill the boss in the final chapter of the Vendetta’s Campaign. He is very difficult to fight as you will find it hard to block his knock-back attacks and he spams enemies at you at every opportunity. The easiest way to do this is to play as Shoshanna and use a fully upgraded Arm of Darkness shotgun will full Gun Channeling.
