Few things in this world are more fun than running around New York City as a monster man that can leap buildings in a single bound, tear through the U.S. Government's military elite like if Edward Scissorhands were directed by Rob Zombie, and can even indulge some of the more frightening tentacle fantasies in us. But the only problem with Prototype 2 was that there was no way to kill anything but with these wild and over-the-top powers granted to you by the Mercer Virus. The entire focus of the game is to be a monstrous entity that causes a lot of destruction, I understand, but don't you ever wonder how much more fun this game could've been with a few other really simple ways to play it added in?
Wouldn't it be so much cooler if it were possible to use enemies as patsies like in the first prototype? Or actually use a disguise to mingle among regular joes and slowly infect them all and turn them into zombies one-by-one? Wouldn't it have been awesome if there were some kind of panic meter for the different areas of the city or if you could maybe have even had a few missions where you saved people?
I'm not saying any of this should've been required, and I'm not saying that Prototype 2 is a bad game because it didn't have these things. All I'm saying is that I if there is a Prototype 3 I would really love to see some moral choice stuff added in and maybe even some choice specific rewards and powers (kind of like Infamous in that choices matter, but not like Infamous in that you have to be completely good or evil to get all the best toys).
