I became interested in this DLC because it seemed like a nice amount of content for only 400 MSP. As it turns out... I was correct. You only get a few more areas to explore, two new minigames, a new weapon, and a harder difficulty mode. Even if that's not a whole lot of new content, it's appropriate for $5, but another question to ask is "how good is the content?". It's much like the rest of the game; you fight your way through deceptively linear areas, and the game gives you some kind of justification for doing so. I always liked this simplicity about Rage, because id was more focused on making the core feel of the game good, and I think they succeeded. There's a boss in one section, and it's not very inspired, but it was a nice touch. The Nailgun is awesome, and definitely a welcome addition; it has attachments that, without spoilers, will make things fun for a whole playthrough, which an added achievement for completing the game on Ultra Nightmare also gives you an incentive to do.
If this quasi-review of this DLC seems a little apathetic, it's because that's exactly how I felt about this experience. It is well-worth $5, but it all depends on how much more time you'd like to spend playing Rage.
