The Walking Dead: Episode 3 Achievement List
DLC: Long Road Ahead (Episode 3)
Goodbye, She Quietly Says (10)
Complete chapter 1 of episode 3.
WARNING!!! Spoilers may be ahead.
Time will pass since the last chain of events. Lee and Kenny will continue traveling in a small pack, Kenny will be wearing a blue children's backpack..............Inspeaking of him, he will strike up a few conversations as you two check out the area and find your way on top of the truck to get into the Pharmacy. Choose whichever dialogue options you feel are best. Respond as if you are Lee. To join Kenny on top (insert sexual remark here), examine the ladder to try and climb it. It'll fall off, leaving you stranded temporarily. Be attentive to the front of the nearby jeep. Examine the winch to attach it to the ginormous truck. Next, walk back to the jeep and examine the winch control to reel in the jeep towarads the truck. Once the jeep has finished reeling itself inward, examine the hood of the jeep to get on top of it. Finally, Kenny will place his hand outward for you to grab onto and you're home free! Just kidding. He will drop you accidentally on the first go. This will initiate a cutscene featuring a woman who will run around wrecklessly while screaming her head off. The woman's in deep doo-doo regardless of the dialogue option you choose. You have a choice to either kill her to have one less zombie to worry about, or let her be. If you choose to leave her alone, then she'll continue screaming, get bitten again, and run like a chicken with its head removed. This would be good for you and Kenny; the woman's silly behavior can be used as a distraction while you two make way into the Pharmacy. The achievement will unlock shortly after you enter the building. We're still on a roll with Walking Dead achievements that don't require much activity........
Bad Blood (10)
Complete chapter 2 of episode 3.
WARNING!!! Spoilers may be ahead.
You and Kenny are now in a Pharmacy saturated with goods. Now, I don't think it's necessary for me to tell you what to do here. Grab what you can see as quickly as possible. Zombies may do what they do best and appear out of nowhere. If they do, then follow the on-screen button prompts as necessary until Lee and Kenny do what Elvis did; leave the building. Lee and Kenny will make their way back to the original headquarters (Travelier Motel) and report to General Lilly. It's now time for Round 2. Today's main event battle is, once again, Kenny vs. Lilly. Try to be as neutral, logical, and just as possible. Somewhere down the road in the dispute, If you decided to kill that woman who screamed uncontrollably and was good as dead back at the Pharmacy, then Kenny will bring up the fact. Tell Lilly that she was suffering and it was best that you ended it. Lilly would concur with you. The achievement will unlock around when everyone leaves Lilly's room. Yipee!
Hit the Road (10)
Complete chapter 3 of episode 3.
WARNING!!! Spoilers may be ahead.
When you regain control of Lee, check in with everyone, Clem being first amongst the group. Visit Lilly next to see how she's doing. She'll ask you to help her out. Be inclined to do so. After all, the poor woman's father is dead and she still has Kenny to deal with. Lee will leave her room after the conversation ends. Duck will be outside of Lilly's room and heard what you discussed with her. He will ask to be your sidekick. Although he's just a kid, his eagerness to help stands out. And besides, any help that's offered during the harsh times you're in should be accepted. When talking to everyone else, be sure to examine them twice:
----once for inquiring about the broken flashlight.
----twice for further dialogue.
After checking in with everyone completely, walk to the southwest corner of the headquarters. Use the RV as a reference point. Examine the shards of glass on the floor twice. A mini cutscene will follow, revealing an "X" drawn on the wall in pink chalk. Duck will fly in and join you in the scene. After that little episode, walk over to Clem to ask about the pink chalk. As you interrogate Clem, Duck will call you over and inform you that he found something valuable to the task. Follow him to the gate and examine him a couple of times to exhaust dialogue options. Be sure to give him a high five because.........you know.........he's just a kid! And besides, he helped you with your investigation. I think that he deserves a high five. Examine the chalk markings on the ground by the gate until Lee takes a kneel and takes a closer look. Next, examine the gate to open and go through it. On the right side of the headquarters, you'll find a vent. Examine the vent to open it to reveal a brown paper bag. Examine the bag twice to discover what's been hidden. Lee will automatically report to General Lilly. Bandits voices will sound off out of nowhere. Meanwhile, Lilly will order you to keep them busy as she exits through the back door. Lee will go outside to the lot. Sometime during the cutscene, Lilly will get in position and perform a headshot on one of those punks. This is where you regain control of Lee and have the opportunity to kill a handful of fellow humans................and zombies. The RV will be your wall of defense. Enemies will be coming through either side of the headquarters. Be attentive to one side as soon as the other has more breathing space. Shooting zombies in the head is the only way to take them out. When both sides are clear, you and everyone else will get in the RV and Kenny will drive off into the sunset. The achievement will unlock around when the cutscene continues after the loading screen.
What now? (10)
Complete chapter 4 of episode 3.
WARNING!!! Spoilers may be ahead. This achievement requires fairly little to obtain.
I hope that you're prepared for more rational and logical decision making! It'll all start with Master Lilly, who will accuse Ben of stealing the goods you found in the vent back at the Travelier Motel. After dealing with that batch of drama and gaining control of Lee, Katjaa will call you over to show and tell you something. Go over to Clem and talk to her. Be prepared for a button mash sequence. You'll soon arrive at a site with locomotives obstructing the RV's path. The achievement will unlock as soon as the cutscene ends.
Handle It (10)
Complete chapter 5 of episode 3.
WARNING!!! Spoilers may be ahead.
Everyone will exit the RV, except for Lilly, of course. Check in with the group when you regain control of Lee, including Lilly. Examine the RV's door twice to open it whenever you're ready to speak to her. When talking to Ben, be sure not to agitate him by choosing "Was it you?" Examine the boxcar door by Ben twice to enter. Pick up the clipboard on the floor, which contains some sort of map. Also, pick up the unopened bottle of water. Exit the train car and give the bottled water to Katjaa and the clipboard to Kenny. Approach Ben and climb the yellow ladder on his right to reach the main train car. Take an immediate right to walk alongside the train car. Examine the second engine compartment and take the tool that's hanging on the left. Resume walking alongside the train car until you reach the door to where the control system is. There will be someone sitting in one of the chairs. Examine the door. Ben will join you. Examine the door again to open it and target the seated individual to hit them. A little cutscene will trigger. Examine the notepad that's posted against the wall of a mini control station in the middle of the room. Then, head back over to the RV and observe the front portion where the driver and front passenger seats are. Look down a bit to where the cup holders are. There will be a pencil in the left cup holder. Pick it up and Lee will *cough* automatically exit the RV. Return to the head of the main train car and examine the notepad to use the pencil on it. The instructions on how to start the engine are more clear now. Examine the console to the right of the room and follow what is written on the notepad. Control no. 9 is in the first engine compartment. Look down a bit and to the left upon opening the compartment. After you're done with that control, walk towards the very last train car (the one that contained the clipboard and bottled water) and position Lee in between that one and the train car next to it. Face them both to examine the coupler pin. Use the tool that you retrieved from the second engine compartment to separate the two train cars. After you do that, examine the train car door to meet the keeper of the stationary train. Return to camp to talk to them further. Don't forget to check in with the gang!
Walk to the left of Ben as soon as you're done talking to everyone. Lee will automatically enter the head of the main train car. Examine the throttle handle that's infront of Kenny to get the train moving. During the train ride, Katjaa will call you over to wipe Duck's mouth. Examine the white cloth on the floor to do so. Afterwards, she'll request the train to stop. Man, she's quite needy, isn't she! Make your way to the head of the main car to convince Kenny that the train needs to stop. You may have to get into a fist fight with him to get to the throttle handle. If you don't, then that's good too. For the fist fight, target Kenny's fist that's in the air as quickly as possible to avoid taking a hit. it doesn't matter whether you win or lose. Surprisingly, Kenny will end up feeling bad and give in to your demand altogether. The achievement will unlock shortly after the train stops.
Unexpected Delay (15)
Complete chapter 6 of episode 3.
WARNING!!! Spoilers may be ahead.
Once the train comes to a complete halt, everyone will surround Katjaa and little Ducky. Tread softly with the following dialogue menus. You'll soon be led up to carrying out a tough act. Once that's done, you'll be back on the train and eventually, be led into talking to your new pal. Exhaust all dialogue options with him. Make your way towards the head of the main cart to talk to good ole Kenny. After talking to him, examine the map bin a couple of times to hear Kenny whine as always. Exit the head of the train car and walk alongside it. You'll soon see Ben. Exhaust dialogue with him. Examine the boxcar door to his left to enter the last train car. Examine the bottle of whiskey twice to pick it up, and talk to Clem. After exhausting dialogue with her, it's time to lecture Clem on how to defend herself. This is a trial and error type deal and you have much time in teaching her. After Clem becomes a certified badarse, examine her backpack to extract a pair of scissors. Examine Clem to cut her hair. Then, head back over to the hobo (Chuck) and examine him to gift the bottle of whiskey. He'll ask if you want to share drink. Decline his generous offer, and return to the head of the train car to ask Kenny if he wants to drink with Chuck. He'll indulge. Now that Cranky McCranker Pants is finally out of the way, examine the map bin to retrieve what's inside. Return to the last rain car. Talk to Ben again (no Dr. Seuss business intended) along the way. Be sure to exhaust dialogue with him. Examine the boxcar door to the last train car. Ben will mention something to you right after Lee opens it. Choose the most suitable dialogue option(s) for him. Enter the last train car and talk to Clem once more to show her what you retrieved from the depths of a cave that was guarded by a giant troll. Choose comforting and positive dialogue options as usual when talking to Clem. Apparently, the train will gradually stop..............again. The achievement will unlock shortly after.
Look Behind You (10)
Complete chapter 7 of episode 3.
WARNING!!! Spoilers may be ahead.
Once the cutscene ends, and when you regain control of Lee, walk towards the ladder that's straight ahead. Examine it when you're close enough to climb the ladder.Feel free to tell the new members of the group everyone's story. After you get alittle acquainted with them, examine the door of the Federal Rescue Services truck (all the way to the left of the road where you currently are) twice to open it. Examine the pile of signs and orange cones to excavate. Lee will find a roll of yellow tape. Climb back down the ladder. When you reach ground, approach Omid's wife and talk to her to get acquainted further.
If you ask what her and Omid talked about as you nearly made it to the top of the ladder, then you'll lose brownie points with her.
After putting up with her, head over to the head of the main train car to get further familiarized of Omid. Exhaust dialogue with him. If you talk to Kenny, then Lee will ask if he's teaching Omid anything. Kenny will say that he is, although he's just sitting there. Exit the head of the main train car and walk left alongside the train. Look up a bit to see Ben reenacting one of the top notorious movie scenes of all time (Titanic, when DiCaprio says "I'm king of the woooooooorld!"). Examine Ben to talk to him. Be sure to choose soothing and optimistic dialogue options to maintain morale and keep his hopes up. Return to where Omid's wife and Clementine are at and look ahead. Target the slightly visible train station to spark a small cutscene of Lee walking towards it. Clem will join you. Walk right alongside the station as though you're passing by it until you see Clem. Attempt to open the door, just to discover that it's closed. Examine the window that's above the door, which appears to be slightly opened, opened enough for Clem sit ontop of Lee's shoulders and take a peek to see what's inside of the train station. Clem will also manage to open the door for you guys. What a little gal! Try opening the door again. After entering through it, use the spike remover tool that you retrieved earlier from the engine compartment on the door to have it remain open. Examine the cage door to discover that there's, yet, another locked door. But, when there's a locked door, there's Clementine! Examine Clem to have her get ontop of your shoulders again. She'll slither through the opening at the top. Two zombies will soon appear on your side. Quickly walk backwards to the door. Have the crosshair set on the tool as you step back. If the zombies somehow get you, then try punching them back and forth to get some breathing room. Pick up the tool when you're close enough and target one zombie to kill it. The other one will require a button mash sequence. A zombie will soon appear on Clem's side of the cage. Target her hand to grab the keys. Then, target the lock on the door to unlock it. Target the door again to open it. Be quick! With the gun in hand, quickly position the crosshair on the zombie's sweet spot and fire.
Christa will barge in on the scene and be amazed at how you and Clem handled the situation. However, she will continue to question Clem being under your care. Go through dialogue with her and Clem and enter through the once locked cage door. Grab the blowtorch that's on the ground and exit the station. Lee and Clem will make their way back to the group and report that he found a blowtorch back in the train station. Follow Omid up the tall ladder. Examine the hitch on Omid's right to pull out the blowtorch and start cutting.........some.........metal. Examine it two more times:
----once to wrap some yellow tape around the hose.
----twice to fire up the blowtorch again and cut away at the hitch.
Talk to Omid to finish the rest of the job. The achievement will unlock soon into the cutscene.
