The transition from the Xbox 360 into the One brought with it lot's of goodies, one of which is the reputation system. The survey method on the 360 was now changed fully, not only can players now Block or Mute, but there is also a color code showing the players "reputation”. Three categories were introduced: Green is “Good Player,” Yellow is “Needs Improvement,” and Red is “Avoid Me.” This information will be always visible on the profile. Taking into account offenders who tend to repeat their "crimes", Microsoft developed a new way of determining these violations. Not more then a few reports per month is OK, and also the algorithm analyzes, whether the person reporting the violation is doing this on purpose, such as when losing a game. Those who will be the candidates for the "Avoid me" will receive messages and alerts, giving them a chance to overlook their behavior.

What do you guys think of this? Is it really that necessary?

Not really needed in my opinion. The last rep system was abused.

I agree. You run into someone annoying, you mute them. If they get really annoying, you just avoid them.

I don't see why we need anything else. If someone is singing or screaming in the mic, I just mute them. No big deal.

I am really looking forward for this. If a guy is constantly messing around, then he get's a bad reputation simple as that. Might as well get blocked, if that's needed. This system helps people be aware if who they are playing with. You just see the info right there. Very convenient

I think its a needed addition as now instead of muting them so they can go on and keep bothering others, you flag them so others
can know the person is a pain.

It looks like MS thought this out and removed any way to abuse it.

Maybe eventually I'll be able to avoid the annoying shrieking 12 years olds altogether.

This is great idea. Filtering all those angry school kids is exactly what I needed. Cause its always pain and tears when one of them just keeps screaming and insulting through the microphone. good bye, old times. say hello to reputation haha. I am really excited, honestly

My opinion is that it's not at all needed. I could continue muting and flagging bastard. But generally the idea sounds extremely good. The part of it where you can clearly see, without interacting, if a guy is a violator or not is the best. Just keep aside form him - that's all.
