As everyone knows by now, Microsoft has changed their policy towards physical games and online check ins. Here is the updated breakdown to help you better understand the differences between the PS4 and Xbox One.

(Note: By DRM, I mean New DRM restrictions such as check ins. I know that consoles both already have some forms of DRM.)

Breakdown:

Playstation 4
Physical Sharing: YES
Digital Sharing: NO
Multi-Console Play: Physical - YES / Digital - *YES (But you will have to bring your HDD with you)
DRM: NO
Internet Required for games: NO

Xbox One (Old Policy)
Physical Sharing: NO
Digital Sharing: YES (With up to 10 people, includes all of your games)
Multi-Console Play: YES (ALL games are stored digitally in the cloud)
DRM: YES
Internet Required for games: YES

Xbox One (New Policy)
Physical Sharing: YES
Digital Sharing: NO
Multi-Console Play: Physical - YES / Digital - YES (This will still require hourly check-ins on secondary consoles)
DRM: YES (but no more 24 hour check-ins)
Internet Required for games: **At the discretion of game developers
**Games that will utilize Microsoft's cloud computing for single player gameplay will always require an online connection

You'll still have plenty of the feature's they had offered originally and of course you will need to be connected in order to access your account on another console.

In the xbox wire policy article it said it was just like the 360, on the 360 there was no online check ins to play games on a different console I do it all the time all you need is a flash drive for your profile and games or one time set up if using the cloud. and you can still share digital titles with other xbox accounts either on the console you purchased the content on or the currently console you are signed in to.The PS4 is doing the same as the PS3, when it comes to digital titles link : support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1030/~/play-purchased-content-from-different-accounts

Hmm, noticeable changes, thanks for the breakdown. Hopefully, you don't need internet connection to play games. I really wonder why they removed the sharing policy, I would rather share it to 10 of my family members than noone at all. I'm honestly still liking the PS4 a bit more than the Xbox One though. I guess time will tell, and decide what I will buy. Microsoft will still definitely be making some last minute changes.

Still, i just think that this is too confusing.
Why not just being able to lent your game to everyone? Maybe limit the digital games to 5 person at a time, something like Sony does.
There, you didn't had to check out a graphic of how can i share and how do i do it.
