Xbox One Use Kinect to voice chat in games like Diablo 3????

I forget if I can use the kinect somehow to voice chat in games instead of using a headset? I don't mean thru the Xbox One chat, I mean the games in game chat?

I do not have my Kinect hooked up or I would test it myself.

I don't have my Kinect hooked up at the moment either, but I am pretty sure you CAN use it to chat via in-game chatting. Seems like a friend of mine was doing that for about a week or so before he got a Turtle Beach headset.

I have no idea about this because I've been using a headset from day one. I don't really like to use the Kinect all that much, to be completely honest. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't even buy a One bundled with a Kinect.

yes you can use the kinect as party chatt... its a mofo tho.. especially when projected thru a soundbar... it blends chatt and in game together...

in destiny they have an "in game chatt function" and i have used it in game as my mic(3 sets of xb1 died) i dont think the "game" really cares or see's where the audio comes from as long as it recognizes the kinect as an audio capture device. a in game menu may turn chat on/off or auto in when in a open match make but it should work as a chat function in all games.

This is асtuаlly thе first timе I'vе еvеr sееn it brоught up. Оutsidе оf thе pеоplе whо fоrgеt tо turn it оff, mоst pеоplе еithеr buy а miс оr just usе thе оnе thаt саmе with thе соnsоlе.

The problem is that, especially if you're in the lounge, you won't sound too good to others if your Kinect is far away and voice output blended with games probably won't be great either. For what its worth, I think headsets are your only option, I used to use a cheap pair of in-ear headphones with a mic before upgrading to a Steelseries headset.
