Xbox One walmart.com preorder - day one edition

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone else preordered a day one edition xbox one from walmart.com? I preordered mine months ago and when I was checking out I was only given one option for shipping which was standard ground. It says I should receive my xbox one on the 29th which is one long week after the release date. Has anyone else had this issue?
 
I can't say for 100% certain, but I went there before to preorder a game and they do not ship until the actual release day or so it said.
I would have received the game about a week later.
 
I understand that, what annoys me is that they didnt have any other options when choosing shipping method just the standard ground shipping. I would have picked in-store or 2day if the option was there but it wasnt. I was forced to order from walmart.com because almost everywhere else didnt have any day one editions left.
 
i cant be the only one who pre ordered from walmart and has this issue
 
Man boss!I never tried to order stuff like this online.I was always worried about the wait!Which I figured it would be later on that release day.A week is crazy!

I ordered mine from the MS online store and made sure they stated I would receive it on day one. I would def phone someone about the issue. I have also heard that Wal-Mart had oversold their pre-orders for xb1.

Oh god i hope they didnt oversell their pre orders....Honestly dealing with them over the phone and via email has been the worst experience I have dealt with my entire life they give such generic unrelated answers to my questions...its ridiculous I was going to go on the walmart facebook page and go on a rant
 
Picking mine up at midnight from Gamestop, I don't trust delivery times for things like this. Good luck!
 
If Walmart confirmed the preorder you should get it. Even if it takes a few extra days, they are sold out all over so were all the lucky ones.

I was just looking around online to help a friend try to find one and they are sold out all over except Ebay. Some sites are giving an after
Christmas delivery time.

It’s starting to sound like the Xbox One might be tough to find at launch if you didn’t pre-order the console. For those thinking that they’ll be able to waltz in and pick-up the new hardware due to low demand, one Microsoft developer is saying that all consoles are accounted for, and that Microsoft has just as many pre-orders for the Xbox One as Sony has for the PlayStation 4.

Over on Reddit, the official Xbox One thread saw a confirmed Xbox One developer relay the revealing news about the console.

“When I saw reports of Sony having a million or 1.5 million pre-orders for PS4, I didn’t even think twice about it. We’re not disclosing pre-order numbers at the moment for accounting reasons but I know for a fact we have just as many. Don’t be bogged by published statistics. At the end of all this, what matters is the games you want to play. Which games will people go back to over and over. Go with that. Look at the list of exclusive launch titles for each console.

I’m quite curious how Microsoft will put consoles on shelves at launch day given that almost every console we made and will make until launch are accounted for.”

Microsoft has yet to reveal an official tally for pre-order totals, but if this holds true, their may be some price gouging going on if the console is hard to find this holiday season.

i believe the Microsoft online store still has pre-orders available.
 
Not today. Says out of stock. tried every store listed on their site.
 
I tried contacting walmart on the phone and the via email look at this ridiculous email chain I received....


When checking out while placing this order I was only given the option for standard ground. Is there anyway I can upgrade the delivery to 2day or overnight? I am willing to pay the fee for this change in delivery. If this is not an option can I change this to in-store pickup?

If I cancel the order then I will not be able to reorder a day one edition again because it is out of stock? Not only is it out of stock at walmart.com but it is out of stock everywhere you can possibly order it. I do not want to loose my order because of a cancellation unless you can assure me that I will be able to reoder the same unit with the same delivery date. Also when I was checking out I was only given one option and that was standard shipping. There was no other options there, has this changed?

I know because any orders in excess of a certain dollar threshold was entitled to free shipping, which happened to be the only shipping method avaliable during the checkout process. I was never able to select anything else and that is why I am emailing you about this situation. The only option I was given was to cancel my order and select a new shipping method. The issue with this is that all xbox one day editions are sold out everywhere including walmart.com. So if I cancel my order I will loose my day one edition which ships on the 22nd of November and will not get it until the next round of shipments. I do not want to cancel my order if I will loose my day one edition console.

Same here. I would have liked to get it at GS but 5 hours after a release date was confirmed they were sold out. I have one on pre irder at
gs.com as well. MS promised I would get it on day one. Lets hope I have a trustworthy UPS person.
 
I preordered my XB1 at Walmart in August and I'm hoping that 24 hour location will have a midnight sale.

If they're open 24 hrs that's a given. The only problem you might encounter is whether they are ready to go exactly at 12 or if that's when they decided de to bring them up to the sales floor. The latter has happen to me with Walmart.
