By that I mean did the horror stop here or in RE6? Did you feel scared or were you just kind of playing through an action game with zombies? I truly enjoyed this game, particularly with friends but I can't say I was scared. It just wasn't much of a horror game in my opinion. Did you feel like you were playing a horror game and if not what would you have changed? Maybe less sunlight? Maybe less open spaces? Yeah I would have made it more claustrophobic and dimmed in nature - that would have really helped.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't really been scared by a Resident Evil game since Resident Evil 4, which is still actually more of an actioner than a horror game. By making the games more open and in broad daylight, they lost that sense of anxiety and the claustrophobic feeling of being trapped in close quarters with zombies and such lurking around the corners.

Scared? It's a video game. Of course a game can has it thrills but scaring means in my world to shiver like little girl and to cover your eyes so you don't can see the bad bababoh-man.

It has stopped from Resident Evil 3 forward. Resident Evil 4 was a action game with horror parts, Shinji Mikami even said that, because he wanted to change the series to something else. If that is good or not, well, a lot of fans are still mad with Resident Evil 6.

RE games haven't been scary for some time, and even RE 4 only had one jump scare and a fairly creepy atmosphere (don't get me wrong, RE 4 was and still is a great game). RE 5, while still an alright game, isn't the least bit scary, and RE 6 is a roller coaster of mediocrity. RE 5 might not have been good for a RE game, but RE 6 is a barely functional neo survival horror game at its best, and a bad action game at its worst.
