Update: The Crew has also been delayed until 2014
Ubisoft's next-generation open-world game Watch Dogs has been delayed to spring 2014. The game was previously scheduled to launch in November for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, and Wii U.

"Our ambition from the start with Watch Dogs has been to deliver something that embodies what we wanted to see in the next-generation of gaming," Ubisoft said in a statement. "It is with this in mind that we've made the tough decision to delay the release until spring 2014."

"We know a lot of you are probably wondering: Why now? We struggled with whether we would delay the game. But from the beginning, we have adopted the attitude that we will not compromise on quality," the developer added. "As we got closer to release, as all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place in our last push before completion, it became clear to us that we needed to take the extra time to polish and fine tune each detail so we can deliver a truly memorable and exceptional experience."

Well if you're like me than this is a major disappointment to your Day One plans. Sure after GTA 5 the timing for this game wasn't great, but it was still my most anticipated launch title. How do you guys feel about the news?

Nooooooooo!!! I knew the crew was pushed
back until spring but this hurts. Well its Fifa and ghosts
for awhile. Ill change my pre-order to Ryse probably

PS.....I usually" like" posts but not this one lol

I'm afraid of this happening, but hey its better to have the highest quality product versus something that just freezes in the system. Bless the Q&A process but not how long it may take.

I agree, if they are going to push a game's release date back, hopefully it will result in a better game. I was actually pumped to get Watch Dogs. Mainly because of how similar I heard it would be to Grand Theft Auto. I was honestly looking for a new series to entertain me. Now a days, copycats of Grand Theft Auto result in poor games. Saints Row for instance had a good run until recently. Hopefully Watch Dogs will exceed our expectations.

I just heard this today after school. While it may be unfortunate for this to happen, I am actually glad in some way that they are putting more work into this game so that it can be one of the better released next gen game to come. Let's just hope that they actually use this time wisely to create a game with little to no bugs or glitches. We all know what happened with Ubisoft and their Assassin's Creed games (they were still very buggy after release).

I was afraid of GTA V delaying their release date and am not surprised that Watch Dogs would push their date till spring. Sure it would have been nice to get some of those Christmas sales, but then again if parents are buying games for their kids for Christmas, they are going to choose GTA V over Watch Dogs. Their sales would have suffered a lot of they would release this fall because everyone is pretty excited over playing GTA. Also, it would probably be better to play that game on Xbox One as well.

After playing GTA V both on and off-line....I hope parents DO NOT buy this game for their kids.
We all know that some will but def not a childrens game.

I'm bummed out man. I was looking forward to Watch Dogs like I look forward to bacon every day. That's a lot BTW. I don't care about their "reasons". My ex wife had "reasons" for leaving me, but I still missed the sex! Not from her, just in general. I don't get out much.

Watch Dogs was my day one purchase with the One. Now I guess I'll have a $500 TV app......

What? I really want Watch Dogs! I saw a guy play it and it's awesome. It's like a GTA Version of Chinatown Wars, but with a better story-line and graphics. Also the way the characters are just make the game so interesting!

Damn, i was really, really waiting for WatchDogs... Well, at least i can enjoy Grand Theft Auto V a bunch more without hurrying up. If that will make the game better, then it's better if they just take their sweet time.

Huh, now I have even less motivation than before to get a console on launch day. Watch Dogs was going to make a huge impact out of the gate, and it was one of the few games I wanted to play on Day One. Suddenly the launch day lineup is...rather barren.

I don't know that the inclusion of one game can make something stop being barren. If Watchdogs was your only interest, then it was already barren to begin with
