Xbox One we need a headset

no one i talk to wants to use the kinect for chat and if i cant use my old headset at least give me a new one i think for $500 you can give me one of those junk wired xbox headsets you make or at least let me use my wireless xbox 360 headset. i dont think i could even play an online game if all my friends where using the kinect i'd rather sit
in silence than hear them talking over my game. i have surround sound to hear the game and a headset to hear my friends but its separate not white noise from my speakers

I have a fairly decent 3rd party headset that works with the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 through usb or red/white audio and I've been enjoying it a lot. I hope that it will work with the Xbox One too. Sony confirmed that all PS3 headsets will work with the PS4, so Microsoft would be loosing out here if they didn't let us use the old headsets.

Even if they did or didn't come out with a proprietary headset, there will be third party options. There always are, so I'm not too worried. I personally intend to upgrade my Turtle Beach headset to the next model that's next-gen compatible. I've been pleased with their audio performance this current gen so I'll stick with the brand into the next generation.

Next-gen controllers, Xbox One headset up for pre-order | Polygon

Well, good news as Microsoft has announced that not only are Xbox One controllers up for preorder, headsets for the system are available for preorder as well. Still, it would be nice though if the system came with headsets already or at least allowed you to use Xbox 360 headsets. I'm interested to see how much the controllers will cost though as controllers for consoles now are pretty expensive.

Yeah like Clark linked you can preorder headsets now or probably just wait till later to get them. It would suck if you couldn't use your current headset but I don't see them allowing the use of older headsets. But Turtle Beach is also good as Oni said but they can be kind of pricey depending on what you want.
