Xbox 360 Were you disappointed and if so why?

I have heard a lot of people cry foul about Assassin Creed 3, but I'm not exactly sure why. I mean I enjoyed the game for what it was - I did love the naval battle most, but yeah I liked the game and I don't think it was especially bad. In fact I actually think it was a pretty nice game, but then it had the multiple collection tasks and various little missions I like to have in my games... also naval battles. Anyway, were you disappointed and if so why?

It wasn't a bad game. It just didn't live up to the hype that it was expected to. AC 1 and 2 were so fantastic that 3 just paled in comparison. The gameplay was awesome for me, but the storyline lacked compared to its predecessors.
