I picked up my copy at midnight, drove home, installed and started playing. Around noon I was tired. I was hungry and I was surprised at just how fast that 12 hours went! It seems to me everything about the game has been improved. The shooting especially (thank god). This game lives up to the hype in terms of gameplay and size.

It still has it's glitches and hiccups, but I found nothing so far that breaks the game. This game was worth the money and the sick day I used to play it. So what's your take on the game? Any surprises you found that you care to share? :)

Anyone started searching for that hidden bigfoot in the mountains?
Also, in case you guys didn't know, if you bought the special edition and have UV Light nearby, use it on the map. Prepare to be blown away!

Yeah, I've had a few of those 12 hour days when I really got into Far Cry, Arkham Asylum, Skyrim, and Assassin's Creed 2...There is something to be said for a great game that makes the time fly :)

I've noticed a considerable lack of activity from Facebook today, I attribute this to everyone being enveloped in the Grand Theft Auto universe.

Anyone got any launch date stories?

This is an amazing game indeed. It's worth every single dollar I paid for. I had school that day so I didn't play for long, but I sure did afterwards. I think i'm set game-wise for the next month.

What?? There's a hidden Bigfoot in the mountains?! I am SO there dude lol. I haven't read the wiki pages that are up yet, so all these things are new to me. I'm still looking for that cult somewhere in the hills also.

But BIGFOOT? That's just too much awesome!

If time only went that fast at work. *sigh*

I do love games that do that. For me, "Hitman: Absolution" was like this also. I was so obsessed with finishing every mission perfectly, if I was detected I would just start the mission over. I swear I spent three hours on the Library level before I realized there wasn't a way to go "suit only" without being seen. lol.

I must say so far that this game has actually lived up to the massive hype. My only problem is finding more time to play.

I'm impressed how well the game runs on the old 360 hardware. It just shows what you can get out of the console if you work at it.

Glad to hear it's amazing, I'm getting my copy either tomorrow or the day after :D

I was afraid the 360 would have some issues with long load times or something, but everyone seems to say it's fine

The load times were a pleasant surprise. I thought they would be horrible but they're not worse than any other game. In fact, they're faster than some. And there is a lot going on in the game. Some reviews mentioned an occasional framerate issue, but I haven't noticed any yet.

Still looking for that Bigfoot though. It shall become my white whale....

BTW if you find all the UFO pieces, rumor is a secret chamber opens up under Mt. Chiliad where a jetpack and treasure await.
