I've only pre-ordered two games in my life: Mass Effect 3, and Injustice: Gods Among Us. I don't really know why I pre-ordered Injustice, especially since I'm typically not a fan of fighting games. Mass Effect 3, on the other hand, I had anticipated highly since playing Mass Effect 2. I know a lot of people were disappointed with the ending (I was confused more than anything), but that didn't change the fact that I loved it. The funny thing is that I had roughly 5-6 months left of Xbox Live gold when Mass Effect 3 came out, but I didn't get around to playing its multiplayer mode until I had about a month left. To date, Mass Effect 3's multiplayer is some of the most fun I've ever had in online gaming.

What makes you want to pre-order a game? Is it because you want it as soon as possible, or is there another reason?

I used to preorder Pokemon and Digimon games. I got real into them when I was a kid, mastering them on all levels. Otherwise, not too many preorders for me.

I have never preordered a game, only because I can wait a day or two before getting it. Especially these days when it's difficult to judge a game on reviews alone, I just don't want to invest $60 in something I'm not sure is as advertised.

I'm usually not the person that preorders games or consoles in general. I feel that some games aren't worth their price. I've bought many expensive games only to find out that it was boring, or didn't fit me. I would usually wait until the price drops by 10 bucks or so. If I really want to preorder a game, I would do extensive research and look at gameplay videos. You can say that I'm pretty frugal when it comes to money.

I've only ever pre ordered Guild wars 2 for 60$ Before it came out so I could get into the beta and whatnot.
Bad choice though.
