I have never seen anyone ask this question before, so I figured that I would step up and ask it myself! What made you purchase an Xbox 360? Was it because of all the neat features and unique games, or was it because you saw everyone else getting one and you had to have one as well? I myself bought mine, so I could play online with my friends and just pass time when I am bored.

forza games.. but now i just dont like ps at all.. i have had ps, ps2,ps3 and never used them.. but i use my 360 all the time

I also bought an Xbox for Forza games. Halo also influenced me.
In general, this is forza that make me want to have an Xbox 360.

This is the best racing game on console right now in my opinion. Microsoft is lucky to have this exclusivity.

Halo series is a must! Especially to play with friends.
I do not have a lot of games on Xbox because I'm really a player Playstation! But there really are games to do on Xbox!

I bought an Xbox 360 simply because I loved the original Xbox and was really excited to see where Microsoft would take the brand next. To me, the 360 was everything the original Xbox was and more. It was also great that the 360 was the first HD console to be released. Even with all that, the most important thing is the gaming library and the 360's is very impressive. I love all the exclusives, in particular Halo of course.

Exclusive titles. I've been a PC gamer for the majority of my life, but I do like to always have at least one current gen console just so I can play the exclusive titles that never make it to the PC. The 360 gave me the opportunity to play some great games like Red Dead Redemption , LA Noire , Halo , Gears of War and many more good games that just don't make it to the PC (or if they do they are usually months or years late and pretty badly ported)

What made me buy it was the fact that it was the first of the new systems out at the time. But I also usually make a habit of having most of the systems regardless so I would have had it anyway. There isn't any particular game that made me say "oh I need that". When you get older you sort of move past that fanboy ideal and realize that every system is going to have things you want.

I bought an Xbox 360 because it was the superior console available during the period. The graphics capability of the console was higher compared to PS3 and I'm always in love with the exclusive titles like Gears of War & Halo that Xbox offers. It's not like I'm a fanboy or something because I owned only Playstations before Xbox 360 but something changed by mind. Whatever, I just loved the controller because it was much more comfortable and easier to hold for long hours.

I have no friggin' idea why I bought a 360 instead of a PS3, to be quite honest; PS3 has many more games I care about than 360 (Demon's Souls, Yakuza, Tokyo Jungle, etc). There must have been a reason but I just don't remember it.

To be honest, the only reason I purchased an Xbox 360 is that I had the spare money on me to risk and the Playstation exclusives were getting a tad dull after a while. That is just me, though. However, I would not go so far as to say that this was the only reason. In fact, I have been a huge fan of Halo ever since the first one, and I wanted to try the latest installments as they were released. It was when I started playing Halo 3 and Reach that I realized that the original is always better.

Judging by the specifications, the system seemed more capable, too, so it was nice to see how the two compared. All in all, the best way to summarize my feelings at the time is by saying I did it on a whim.

I never actually purchased the Xbox 360 for myself it was more of a gift for my brother and I together. Can't say I really would have gotten a 360 if it had not been given to me.

It was cheap. Like, a lot cheap. I got it for around 150$ with a bunch of games because one of my friends said he was tired of "gaming". Overall, it wasn't a bad purchase, but the paying online always kept me one foot away from the console.

Most of my friends had an Xbox and kept pressuring me to get one. After a while I finally gave in. I originally had a PS3, but I had nobody to play with. I think games are more enjoyable when played with friends. They are people you know and communication is so much easier.

I bought my Xbox 360 just because I had never owned an Xbox before then I thought why not?
Beside it was a part of a good deal, with Fifa and since I liked the Fifa franchise then I just bought it. There aren't really any other reasons to be honest.

I got interested with the Xbox 360 when I played on one with my friend. I'm more of a PC guy and I never owned a console before. But I actually enjoyed the experience and that convinced me to save up and buy my own Xbox.
