With all of the disagreements and developments during the EA conferences, many would-be Xbox One consumers decided to move over to the PS4. Likewise, some PS4 users made the switch on over to Xbox. What made you stick around?

Big exclusives that appeal more to my interests.
Controller.
Friends.

I will have a PS4 eventually... but I will likely get a Wii U first.

-Better controller
-Forza (the fact that PS4 has no launch driving game outside of Need for Speed and GT6 is still on PS3 pretty much made PS a no-buy for me as a huge driving game fan)
-Performance - I never bought all the hype that PS4 was this super powerful game machine
-Titanfall eventually coming this spring
-Kinect - specifically the mic (which works great even with your sound system cranked up), voice commands, etc
-My Live subscription goes through July 2014
-Online features - Live has always been far superior
-I've been on Xbox since the original console, and didn't see any huge reason to switch, even with the price difference

i was a very late 360 adopter... and knew if i didn't do a lunch push to have the xb1 i would be another late adopter.
it has allot of nice tec that makes it much better than the recent 360 updates and has allot of improvments to come.

its a gaming console but much more at the end of the day. does allot with app's/entertainment,tv netflix, prime, hulu. i am awaiting the ufc app and a few other things..
we have blue ray finally. :) native 1080 streaming.. a very fast switch over/user interface. you cna be in a game get bored and pop over to a tv show or netflix and bounch back to a game when its over without allot of work or feeling like you got out of the game.

its going to have exclusives/games and although you pay for xbox live its very stable and a good experience all in all. if any issue its usually on the developers end not microsoft.

in the end the xb1 is not a huge step above 360 at launch it is a step above dont get me wrong but the room to grow on the xb1 is allot more. where 360 and such are about tapped out.

The games that are available made me want to switch. Plus the fact that the controller is better, ergonomic and lightweight. I love the graphics that the release game has on this console plus the integration where you can record videos, edit pictures and add yourself on the video really made me want to buy it.

I have both but I would've got xb1 first because how three online is plus once I download a update or game I don't have wait a second time to install it!

Gotta say, the potential games, controller and xb exclusives.

J

The only thing that would make me choose it over the PS4 is the future exclusives in the next 5 or so years, and the controller. I can't play with a PS3 controller anymore as the thumbsticks are just too weirdly placed for my brain to handle. And hopefully if another Forza comes out, they will get rid of all of those ****ing micro-transactions that ruined the game and my view on the developers.

I got it for the games. Halo is my favorite, so I want to stick to the series. I think the games rum the market more than the console.

I got it just because I was curious whether which one is better. Well I have PS4 and Xbox One. I got PS4 two weeks after I got Xbox One. I can say both have their own best features. But to be honest I like Xbox One better since PS4's controller is a bit more complicated for me.

So true. Well I did because it did seem a lot easier to use.

Yeah, potential games and the controller really is easy to use.

I stayed with the Xbox One because I love what Microsoft does with their consoles. They really seem to take risks and any of them pay off. Take for example the Kinect. Some people complained about when it first came out and now that it comes with every Xbox One, other people complained about that. Realistically though, it's a very solid piece of technology and while it already works great, I think that Microsoft will really surprise us down the road with even more new ways to utilize the Kinect.

Sony puts out stuff (crap) like the Sony Move. I rest my case.

My personal experiences with each company had me stay and only keep the XB1. I had a PS4 as well, because I had my doubts...but it's gone and the XB1 is here to stay, even with it's current issues and software shortcomings. (local DLNA streaming without the need for a computer like we can on the 360 is a HUGE needle in my side currently)

Yeah, well I still have Xbox One and PS4. I bought PS4 because there are cool RPG titles that are mostly on it.

It really came down to the exclusives for me. I love Halo, and I knew right away that I would want to continue playing the games, which meant I would need to get the One. The media features are certainly nice; however, for me, it comes down to games first. I think that the One will definitely evolve into one of the greatest gaming systems and pieces of technology we have seen, and I really wanted to be a part of this exciting transformation period into next-gen.

I've had Xbox for a long while so that's a good reason. Live is also way better even though we still have to pay for it but it only makes sense. I also have a lot of friends that play Xbox Live and I want to play with them so that's another reason why I bought the Xbox one.

Xbox had a better launch line up hands down! Thats what eventually swung me to the Xbox One. Hopefully they can keep the good games coming throughout this launch period and into the future.

I liked the game selection that was available. I had been using a PS4 for a while, and wanted to use something different. I am still not disappointed with making the switch.

I bought it because it's an all in one console, whereas PS4 primarily only plays games.

You've got a point there. Well microsoft has been trying to perfect the all in one function that they dream to accomplish for Xbox One. I hope they can do it.
