for entertanment purposes they need to start looking at ways of getting ppv events and such streamed directly to the xb1.. i use to get on the ufc app monthly to catch up on the free fights, interviews, the upcoming card.. they could do something similar to nfc app with the ufc app have polls per event and acheivments based on your predictions. it is one app i miss a good bit..
they already have a movie buy/rent option but i dontthink they have figured out how to sell it to the market thru xbl... if it was done like kiosk/redbox where you rented it but had 24 hr's of streamability at 1.20-1.99 a movie on new releases it would or could push purchases... but they would have to have the new releases.. ill even go as far as having friday night movie specials for .99 cents...
as for music a pandora app would be nice.. unfortunatly without paying for it you are stuck with commercials which would be a pain on console. i will admit i miss games where you could use music on the system for sound tracks. this is especially tru with games like forza5.. is always fun to jam out while driving.. this would also be killer when they release the 3rd party external hd where people will have 1-3tb hd's i just hope it stays stable when playing games and info is transfering thru 2/3 devices.
the biggest hurdle with going above and beyond what is already in place in the market with entertainment is licensing.. most companies want money to have a corperation get heavily invested in their business.. the nfl app on xb1 is a good app.. but to get that in ufc/hocky,boxing ect ect microsoft is going to have to shell out big money with little to no return.
This. The sc_shark makes some very good points here. MSFT, if you're reading this, take some good looks at what this man is saying here. His points might just get you closer to what you're trying to achieve with the "all-in-one"
