The Mortal Kombat series has been present since the 8-bit days. The MK series has been subject to controversy because of the hyper-violent gameplay and graphical style. The fatalities of each character show how brutal the game really is. But with all the killing going on in the game, why are the original characters still alive and kicking?

This is the head of Johnny Cage. But don't worry, he's alive.

because every franchise needs a solid base to attract the old crowd to the new game. MK wouldn't be MK if there wasn't a "Get over here!" If your being more literal though....then #VideoGameLogic

Idk, that's just the way the makers designed the game.

I wonder how the next game will be.

I think it has something to do with fighting their way through hell and coming back...

That or they just get revived at the end of the match, seeing that there are gods in the middle of the tournament!

Yeah, you're probably right. Raiden is a god and he could possibly revive the other fallen fighters. Or maybe they have something similar to dragon balls where they can make a wish and bring everything back to normal again.
