Xbox One Why should i buy an Xbox One?

I am currently in the market for a next generation system, and i want to know why should i buy an Xbox One over a PlayStation 4?

Last generation i only purchased the PlayStation 3. So i have limited Knowledge of Microsoft as a company. I was originally going to buy a PlayStation 4, but when i heard that it did not support media playback i started to consider other options.

The Xbox One is suppose to be this great media console which is exactly what i am looking for. Can anyone elaborate more on what make the Xbox One a great media center?
 
I think the only reason to truly get an xbox one over a playstation 4 now would be if you're more interested in the integration with the windows and microsoft ecosystem that the xbox one will have. The hardware and games are similar enough that they no longer make a difference. Developers aren't willing to damage their revenue by releasing a game only on one console so you'll most likely not have to worry about games coming out for only the ps4.
 
Ive never seen something get so overhyped in my life than the ps4... The only exclusive thats not an indie game coming out this year is the order. When ps4 came out i played the crap out of it to see what was diff and its a shiny ps3. You can just do way more with the xbox. No one with half a brain would argue that
 
The all in one media aspect of it is worth it to me. I love being able to control everything i use with just my voice. As stated above the games are equal in my mind, and so far, i like the exclusive xbox games better than the ps4. Now live is not as good as playstations right now, but that will change in time when they start offering games for free like they do on the 360. Its coming, just not here yet.

I bought it because I was curious how Xbox 360 would evolve. Never really read the manual or anything, but I'm really happy that they plan on making it an all in one system nonetheless.

Yeah,. they're leaning towards that, in my case though, I got this because of Dead Rising 3 and the news that they will release FF15.

Well that's the plan. Either way yes, Dead Rising 3 could be a valid reason.
 
It has a Kinect, more exclusives, maybe even better exclusives. It is very well ventilated and you are going to have a lot of fun with it!
 
Well, i'm planning to get a PS4 besides the Xbox One but why should you buy an Xbox One? Because of the previous posters' reasons. Also, that "all-in-one" aspect to it.

Whoa, whoa... don't go proclaiming better exclusives. PS4's got some good exclusives too, you know. But more exclusives, I can agree with that. As for why you should get the Xbox One.... well, the all-in-one is one. I mean, if you're a Netflix user, Xbox One integrates it like it's a part of its posse. So Dead Rising 3 for an hour and some good ol' 30 minutes with Regular Show? Hell yeah!

How do you think the Xbox 360 has evolved? How would you rate it on a scale of 1-10?

Personally i do think the Xbox one has evolved at all. The Xbox One is a completely different system. With a completely different purpose. I think the change has been for the worst, At this point, but we will see what Microsoft does in the coming months to change the tide of this console. I have serious doubts that they are going to be able to do anything about it.

But only time will tell.
 
Right now, I wouldn't buy it. It has great games and it's a lot of fun, but you should wait until more exclusives come out and the prices drop a little.

I agree. It's still a bit early to buy, although right now, getting a PS4 is a good choice since it just got inFamous: Second Son. But Xbox One is nice too, if you're eager to get into the Titanfall hype.
 
Meh. Titanfall is on PC already and almost any PC can run it.

I have Titanfall but I'd rather want to have infamous.
 
Well, the exclusives are pretty good. The kinect is fun. The voice control is great. You should buy it if you are a fan of Microsoft.
 
Off the bat the PS4 was a better investment if you just had to pick one gaming console and the Xbox One if you wanted something different.
