Xbox One WiFi Icon in Fornite showing and lag happening when LAN'd in?

hello

my friend has the Box One X (like me) and is LAN'd in with Ethernet and says so in settings yet in the fortnite game he occasionally has the wifi icon appear and change colours from white to yellow to red with lag worsening each time?

does anyone know what this is?

There may be something wrong the cable. The wifi icon changing from yellow to red is showing an indicator that your WiFi is messing up.
