Xbox One Will Apps Be Available for the Xbox One

I know it seems like a weird question to ask, but I figure due to the remarkable leaps 'next-consoles' are now making, why wouldn't apps be available since even the hardware now is more like a PC than ever before.

apps will come.. i think right now microsoft is figuring out how to control the flood of "like apps" we dont need 100 of the same app relabeled..

i think the talk early on about every console being a dev kit and the "open" app system was a poor choice on Microsoft end. i think it was more a strategy to compete with the ps4 than it was to show the power...

microsoft in my eyes has sold me on the fact they deliver a solid product that works... xbox live, digital games,a decent range of apps that all work well. i think its counterproductive to allow just anyone to offer an app and think its going to be stable and refined.. we all hear issues with ps4 network... but its always followed with its free so i live with it. when people say oh my xbox dosnt have those issues.. but i pay for the stability and fact microsoft keeps that machine oiled.

I'm sure it will come. Mircrosoft have said before that they will have apps for the Xbox One similar to that of Windows 8. They even made the dashboard to resemble that of Windows' start menu. Wait a few months after Microsoft have launched their indie program and you bet there will be a lot of apps available.
