Everyday I like to keep my eye on the news in the video gaming world because to me it is the most exciting news and although I plan to get both consoles my heart was more for the Xbox one but day by day my heart begins to move more to the PS4. As I was reading today I came to realize that the Xbox one is really struggling in the competition in sales against the PS4 and the evidence is in this article: [url]http://www.gamespot.com/articles/3-reasons-the-xbox-one-may-struggle-to-catch-the-ps4/1100-6419160/

Do you think that the Xbox one will be ever able to recover?

Here's an answer. If they could go all out on all countries maybe that would make a difference.

Well, we'll have to see. The sales of the PS4 are all based on the fact the PS4 is everywhere in the world. Whereas the Xbox One is not in every region. So yeah, as knives0302, let's wait until it gets out into the other regions. It might make a difference.

We'd better just wait when the XB1 releases in the other regions. We're only seeing sale figures in total from few regions but not yet from the other regions.

Exactly. Unless that happens nothing will happen with the competition and Sony will always reign.

you have a point. well it could have been microsoft's time to reign if only they weren't too scared of going all out.

Yeah I honestly think that if Microsoft would just stop being so cautious and really go all out with the console that their sales numbers could increase a lot. I think that when they really break out and get into lots more regions that they can really take off and then their sales can truly go to the next level.

Of course. Look at the last gen. While the 360 dominated the mind share through out, the PS3 caught up at the end. The problem is the mindshare is what you want to win.

Some regions are just going to be more valuable even if you go with all regions. I find it interesting that Microsoft essentially released a console that catered more to US region, but knew that they have a foothold in EU as well even though the console isn't regionally neutral. Of course that doesn't fly in the 3rd part of the big three--Japan--but 2 out of 3 isn't bad.

I believe the other main thing from a business stand point is to just have manufacturing plants in a region. If the Brazil situation prior to launch was any indication, if you have a foothold there already you don't have to worry about your stuff being out of people's price range because of extra stuff such as import taxes.

It's still so early, this generation is still at their infant stage so to speak so there's definitely a possibility for the X1 to catch up. I don't know what are the factors that cause the X1 to fall behind right now but if Microsoft can pinpoint the problem, I'm sure the X1 can rebound in sales.

So we're just gonna wait until the XB1 comes out in the other regions. We're only seeing these news from a biased, uncompleted standpoint. Well, time to wait then.

Yes, it's time to just wait and see. Nothing much to do right now. Sales cycle are always like this.
