Sony is working on ps2 and ps3 emulations update for ps3 this year so people cAn install previous generations games and play it on ps4 do you guys think Microsoft needs to do that to attract more people?

I think they'll do that but at the moment, MSFT said it's difficult to do now. It's not in their current plans to do something similar to Sony's service but maybe in the near future, they'll do it.

That would be really nice if they can make one.

I know. Well isn't excited for it. After seeing the trailer I've immediately placed a budget to get the game. Haha. I've been saving money for it for the past 2 months.

I guess they can make it but it might take a while to produce.

What thedoodseven said. It's going to take time for MSFT to do it. Can't really force them to do it now.

Well not unless they ditch the work that they are doing for an all in one system.

Yeah, true. Unless they do that but as of now, I don't think they'll ditch that work now.

that's true. I don't think they'll just think, "Yo, let's ditch this all-in-one work and make the emulator!". Nah, they're not like that. They got a lot of work to do and making the emulator is not in their plans right now.

Yeah, I agree, it won't be done unless they have spare time to even work on it. It's still too early to tell anyways.

All we can do is just let MSFT do their thing. We can't force it on them to make the emulator since it's not in their plans. What they're doing now is just setting up the entertainment stuff and making more games.

Exactly. They should. But then again, it's all in the factors. We don't really know the factors that led to them doing this.

They may have their reasons for not making it for now, I just hope that possibly in the future they can make one.

They may have to. If Sony's PlayStation Now does become a hit for everyone, they're gonna have to answer to that sooner or later. For now, Sony's doing it in beta form so we'll see how it goes when it officially makes its presence known worldwide.

I have to agree. They've been on the thing for a while now. I hope they can make it too.

Yeah, I know. Well whatever it is that's holding them up, they have to have a good excuse to make this happen either way.

I think MSFT is taking a wait and see approach to making the XB1 backwards compatible. As with the 360, it was never a priority and I don't think it is with the One. Eventually, I believe, gamers forget about the previous system and stick with the new games. It is a nicety to have BC but not tops on MSFTs list of things to do.

I don't necessarily think Microsoft "needs" to do it in order to attract more Xbox gamers, but I think it would be great if they did do it. I would love to be able to play original Xbox and Xbox 360 games on my One.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I guess that's how it is for MSFT. Wait and see. And yes, I agree. MSFT is making the Xbox One all-in-one so they can't focus on BC right now.

Yeah, they are so occupied working on their all in one concept so it may take time before we see an emulator.
