PlayStation has already launched VR has any one heard if Microsoft has a response to it? If they do they are keeping awfully quiet about it.

@clair02 I think that you are right but it would be good to hear something from Microsoft in this regard. They are going to miss out on the first sales. If they don't come up with something quick they could miss out.

Well if history is any lesson here, then I think it is safe to assume that they have their own thing going on when it comes to VR, and perhaps it is just a little more behind the scenes as of now. These two companies are the main competitors here, and they usually are one step behind or in front of the other, so I would say it is just a matter of time before we start hearing about Microsoft's response to the VR. Should be interesting.

I guess I'm just the cynical skeptic in the corner but I see VR going over and lasting about as long as 3D gaming and video did a few years ago. I have been known to be wrong however. o_O

I think it really depends how much it will cost. If the equipment to play VR or the games are too expensive, it might just be a passing fad. There will always be those that will be willing to shell out the extra money and I think that's who they are banking on.

Things are moving slowly, but still... they are moving.
Here's a new image of the VR room, with some avatars in it:

I'm a bit skeptical about this whole VR thing... I don't know if it will truly be the future of gaming in general.

I'm personally an avid supporter of VR gaming. I think VR and location-based augmented reality games is the future of technology. The only fear I have with VR technology is the stress on your eyes. I have a fear that long-term use of VR headsets could lead to eye problems such a blurry vision or nearsightedness. That's why I'm giving them a moment on the market before I participate. Price is also a major factor. Like SirJoe said, if VR games are out priced in the market, it's a fad that's gonna come and go. So even though I support this technology, there are a lot of factors at play for the future of VR gaming in general. Let alone corporations like Microsoft joining the race.

It will be interesting to keep an eye out for VR for sure since a lot of companies are starting to invest more and more into it. Just look at the PS4 and their VR headset.

I personally never used any VR equipment but I'd love to give it a try. I can't imagine how it must feel to actually picture it as a real situation? Also, is it true that you can get a bit dizzy/sick from VR?

I hope the price won't be too high. Some VR equipment is so, so expensive. There's no way that I could afford it at those prices.
