hello everyone, last week i noticed that my xbox one would not read discs and the disc drive would make grinding noises, i was pretty upset that this happened so i got on a chat with xbox customer support. they explained that i could wait 2-4 weeks to get my xbox back, i asked them if there was a way to get one sooner, they told me about the "advanced return" option. basically i pay $15 for shipping and they put a $400 hold on my account and send out an xbox one and i send mine back, when they receive the faulty one back they take the hold off my account. i found this shocking and pretty annoying that microsoft would do something like this, (for example HP overnights there rma parts in advanced for free, they dont charge shipping or put a hold on your account and all you have to do is return the old parts). i reluctantly agreed and got on the phone with them to give them my billing info. yesterday i received my replacement xbox one and it works so thats good but the face plate appears to be partially attached, it is noisier than my old one and it has some kind of thick plastic sticking out of the side by the power button at first i thought it was maybe some kind of wrap that came on the casing but it would not pull off and seemed to thick to be a protective wrap. i assume its part of the touch button maybe? i dont want to have to send this one back and probably spend another $15 on shipping.
