few updates comming... looks like we get the april one tonight.. or in a few hours according to another post i read.. they are doing a late release because the systems are auto upate now or with the previous patch... so the people who are sleeping should get it and be pre loaded awaiting install upon startup.

i dont see many things in this update i care about..
the friends notification thing i dont really care about.. i kinda like not having it pop up all the time. and its not like i have 50++ friends either...

past that the firmware for controler is nice.. i havnt noticed an issue with static or anything...

i would like the dolby digital update to go live without the headset/adapter thing. as i run off a 5.1soundbar thru my tv in coax... why they would put a digital 5.1 update out and not release it across the whole platform blows me away.

Game and app saves and updates

A game save progress bar will show you the status of your game saves. You will also be able to easily tell what games and apps are being updated or have been updated recently.
Friends improvements

Notifications will be added to see when favorites and friends sign in to Xbox Live. This was one of the most frequently requested features, so we made it a priority to include it in this update. Also, friends who are in multiplayer will be identified in the friends list.
Kinect voice and motion improvements

Kinect voice and motion improvements will continue to be fine-tuned for quality and reliability of Xbox One commands. For example, we’ve updated some of the gesture functionality to reduce false positives on non-hand objects triggering gesture commands.
Improved GameDVR

Improved Game DVR video quality through compression algorithm improvements.
Blu-ray player improvements

Blu-ray player supports 50 Hz video output for content recorded at 50 Hz. We’ll also be updating the Blu-ray Player app in the coming days to round out these improvements.
Controller and headset adaptor firmware updates

Controller and headset adaptor firmware updates will reduce audio static and improve wireless connectivity.
Silent Reboot after updates

Silent reboot after system updates and system update on demand now available. If your console is in Instant On mode, the update will happen automatically and return to standby upon completion. This means you won’t need to power on your console after an update moving forward. If you want to take future updates when available without waiting for your console to do it on its own, we’ve added this option under system settings and you’ll be able to use it next update. It will only show as available when there is an update to take

so some of you may have the update when you get on tom/15... but dds are i will have mine later.

This is probably the best part of this update that I like.
 
I'm hoping my Kinect is fixed.
 
i still have no clue if it updated... i havnt seen 1 friend come on in the last 2 days while i am online...

i kinda hate how they say they can force dowloads and all that... i mean its great but i have no clue if i got it... and that bothers me.
 
still waiting on the twitch fix for Canadians...

also cool on a few things, maybe now streaming and recording via the console won't look like complete donkey ****! (in all seriousness though...that thing was a potato...)
 
I am not excited about any of of this.

Especially the Kinect update. I don't even use the thing. It is not even plugged in anymore. I guess it is a good thing that they are trying to fix the problems with it, but that still is not going to make me plug it back in. The Kinect is useless to me, and i will never use it again. No matter how much they say they improved it.

The notifications update is O.K. I really like seeing my friends accomplishments, so that i can try to beat them. Yes. I am that competitive.

find filling me in on twitch update for canadians... i mean the app itself works ok.. its not as in depth or expanded as it is on pc... not exactly sure why it would be a update regionally and not worldwide.

as far as kinect.. minei s still in the box from day 1.... so the updates is great but dosnt do a thing for me...

Same here. It doesn't do a thing for me now. Who knows maybe 2 or 3 years.
