Xbox One Xbox One audio

Need help with xbox one audio. I have my xbox one HDMI cable running from XB1 (HDMI out) to my TV on one of the several HDMI inputs. The XB1 comes up great on the TV but no sound through the XB1 headset. Neither my Direct TV or Receiver go through the XB1, they are on another HDMI input on the TV - I want to keep them seperate. Why can't I hear the XB1 through the XB1 headset? Thanks

cause the headset only supports chat (to my knowlege) I haven't really looked at the audio settings yet but if there's a option to make all audio go through the headset it'd be there. Otherwise gonna have to wait for third party headsets
