Ok so heres my problem, i want to hook up my xbox one to my monitor but it doesnt have an hdmi port...so im gonna buy a dvi-d to hdmi adapter that way i can use my monitor to play on...but i need to figure out a way to get sound to my speakers or hook up a set of headphones to it, it would have to be 3.5mm headphone jack though and i cant seem to figure out what to buy or how to do it, So any help from you guys would be great.

Heres the coord im talking about buying, but i need a way to get sound to either my speakers or a pair of headphones with a 3.5mm jack

Well for the time being there's no actual adapter, although Microsoft is developing one for the headset that will allow you to connect to a 3.5mm. There is always the commonly used method you can find online of using the XB1 headset and modifying it.

Well my buddy has a set of Turtle Beaches hes gonna give me so i can have sound through it but no surround sound yet, but im not back at home yet so i cant use his headset and im itching to use my monitor up here but if i used it and bought just dvi-d to hdmi i would have no way to get sound, unless someone here tells me a solution..other than that ill have to stick it out and just wait till i get back home

The lack of an adapter is one of the bad things about the Xbox One at the moment.

Pretty much im just gonna buy a TV/Monitor for the xbox one cause if i buy a new monitor its pointless unless i use a TB headset otherwise i wont have any sound.

im having same problem , if I buy the digital to analoug converter, that will plug into xbox toslink input? thn I just plug my headphone into adapter box ? thanks
