Xbox One Xbox one fan noise from console

I have noticed more noise coming from the fan in my console than I did when I first got it. My xbox is still working properly. I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem. Should I be concerned? The noise is pretty loud and I have noticed other people with the same problem from looking at YouTube videos.
 
So far, no loud fan noise. However, I haven't played the system a lot since getting it on 11/22.

I have to say my console is so silent, its surprising its even on most of the time lol
 
I've still got a few days left til I get my One, but I'd say it's probably the same situation that existed with the 360. I don't know about anyone else, but my 360 has always been fairly loud -- easily the loudest piece of electronic equipment I have. It's been like that for years now so I don't think it's anything to really worry about.

While the 360 was very loud, the XB1 is virtually silent so it may be a sign of other troubles.
 
Very true. I have to say, I don't ever hear it running. Now, I'm going to have to try it out tonight.

You don't have the fan blocked, do you? The fact that more noise is coming from the fan than before makes me wonder if it's running more now than when you first got it. Maybe it's over heating?
 
No my fan is not blocked. And I haven't played it that much. I have the extended protection plan, so i will probably wait it out a couple of months.
 
I thought I read before release that the fan may speed up if needed due to heat? Mine has been silent. Of course I'm in an area with full airflow and it has been cold since X1 came out and no matter how long I play I have had no issues with heat. I wouldn't even know mine was on or off if not for the light on there. I've left mine on a few times not remembering to turn it off after watching TV.
