A Xbox One popped up on Ceaigslist today for $380 and I have emailed the guy about the condition and all that good stuff. Should I go ahead and get it or wait a little longer?

I think they *might* announce a price drop at E3 next month, but it won't go that low, maybe around $450.
You just need to decide whether the dollars you save are worth a shorter warranty, or even no warranty if he tampered with it.

$380 sounds fair enough. But I wouldn't be that confident of it, I don't really trust Craigslist when it comes to buying stuff. But if it seems to be in a pretty good shape then I suggest you go for it. Even if the price drops in E3 there's really not that much to lose. But if I were you, I'd check the consoles out for my self first before buying it if the circumstances allow you.

If I were you I might try to haggle to see if you can get it for a bit lower, but if not I don't think it's a bad deal.

Like a few others stated, I'd try to get him to go down to 350. Don't, under any circumstances, hand over cash without testing it first. By testing it, I mean actually booting up a game and making sure it reads the disc.

That is a good price. As long as it is fully functional and hasn't been tampered with I say you should definitely pick it up. Ask to go inside the sellers house so you can try the console out for a minute or two just so you can make sure everything is working the way it should. You do not want to go home and find out it is filled with a bunch of rocks lol.

$380 sounds too good to be true to me. I'd press the seller to tell me why they're selling it. Find out what's wrong with it.

Yeah, $380 is too good. Really have to make sure that the thing works fine before throwing money at the seller, you have to be careful with these deals or risk getting scammed or even worse...

I ended up not getting it and am going to wait to see if they actually do drop the price. I wasn't ready to drop that money and not be certain that it was 100% functional.

My advice is to just wait until you have the money to get a new system. Going used this early in the Xbox One's life cycle is a huge red flag for me.

Yeah, I am so glad I didn't end up buying it. I didn't want the Kinect anyways so I am just going to save up until I hit $400 and get a brand new shiny Xbox One.

thats fair enough man. wait any longer and thats gone man. if i were u ill try to get it but ill be careful with craigslist stuff though.

I think that 380 is a little good to be true. I don't think that I would trust anything on Craigslist as well that guy probably is trying to hustle you and if you get hustled then it would just be you fault and craigslist wouldn't have anything to do with it. I say stay away but of you feel like you could trust this person then you can go ahead and get it but as said before this deal is simply too good to be true.

That sounds like an amazing deal. If I were you, I'd make sure there's no strings attached and no broken stuff with it. If everything is fine, I'd definitely buy it.

Well seeing as they dropped the Kinect, like I said I didn't get it. I have only gotten ripped off of Craigslist once and I have bought many many things to either keep for myself. I got a PS4 and Astro A40 audio system for $400.. I got a year old 32in 1080 Samsung LED for $120 just to name a few of the recent things. I will never buy anything though if I can not extensively test the item before I buy it.

Honestly though I am probably going to get a new Xbox One with the new price drop.

Test before buying on any console on Craigslist.... Especially if there a too good to be true price

I would personally advice you to stay away from sites like Craigslist unless you are pretty sure that the deal you are getting into is the right one and you are not going to lose your money. Go for it if the deal seems right for you.

Its a decent price but I think that if you hang in there awhile longer you will be able to get it down even lower. Its really a matter of how patient you are.

As I said before I second this. Too many times I have seen people get burned from sites like these.
