While waiting for something a little more secure to land, I found that a standard camera tripod mount fits the unit perfectly. Worked out well as you have all the options to level the sensor and set at the appropriate height. My TV is sitting on top of a table and has ample room behind for the tripod legs.

Wanted to share in case someone needs to know! :)

I think that using something like this from Joby would work well. Using a regular tripod might just look goofy as hell though :)

Since the kinect ii doesn't have an auto adjustable motorized unit, the unit would just aim straight forward.
I'll play xbox fitness 10 feet away and sit down for games 13 feet away from the tv.
Would y'all recommend me place it on top of my tv (~5.5 feet high) or on the stand {~2.5 feet high}?
Or would it not really matter because of the 60% increase in viewing range?

I bought this

(can't post links yet, still newbie :))

works great and love it.

Ha! Asked GS on Wednesday about this and they said that they've not seen anything out yet that would support the new Kinect! Figured that the tripod was just something to get me by till an appropriate device released. Thanks for the link!!!

The unit does have adjustment to it, not motorized, but it will tilt to the appropriate angle and hold there. Mine is on top of the tv, about 5' high and during calibration I had to adjust the tilt, it has stayed in position.

I actually placed mine on top of my TV. Though I had a hard time looking for a place to put it at first (I even tried mounting it on a steel frame (on the wall) ) but I eventually gave up and placed it on top of my TV which apparently works out great for me.

I had to borrow a tripod from my cousin. It does fit well but I had to secure it with a rubber band on the edges. But I guess I may have to find another place to put it. But it does work even if we play around 10-12 feet away from the unit. I tried placing it on top of my TV but the signal weakened the kinect so I had to move it away. (weird right?)

picked up the PDP mount from GS this week, works great, thanks for the recommendation!
