I'd love to see microsoft reveal more details about what the actual xbox live interface looks like in terms of browsing your friends, sending messages, ect. Also, I'd like to know how xbox live profiles will now look and if we'll get any more options for customization.

Oh man same here! We have seen small things with just the menu but I would like to see what it will look like and what we can do to personalize it.

Well, wouldn't we all? I'm quite surprised actually that Microsoft still hasn't released any info about the interface!

Sony released their video so long back and they even now started their Gamescom conference with one! While on the other hand Xbox has barely shown anything.

i wish they would use the big picture background instead of a blah color. some of the photos that rotate weekly across bing are amazing.

if you have the chance to use a microsoft surface do it.. i think what works well on the surface will be used on the xbox one interface/ui. it is the closed thing to the window, console layout they have shown. how customizable the surface is or arangable i would think they would be a bit less on the xbox one but the way you use it will stay the same.. minus the touch feature.

I'm sure prior to launch Major Nelson will be on another video showing it off.

Yeah more than likely. I hope its soon though! That AND the release date lol.

Yea, the release date still not being announce is surprising. I would have though Gamescom would have hosted the date announcement, since the only thing left is TGS. Announcing at the Tokyo Game Show wouldn't make much sense considering Microsoft's market there.

I agree. Hopefully they will just make a quick conference before that or something. I mean EA just said that
MSFT needs to cough up the release date
And that I do agree with.

Yup, not to mention many early adopters need a date to work it into their budget. Also with all the games being released around the holidays, people need the heads up to be cautious of what purchases they make prior to the console.

EXACTLY! MSFT needs to get it out quick. That's what the Wii U did. They gave out the release date like a month before and threw people off.

Now, I would think, would be the best time for MS to start releasing more actual, tangibles (Freebies, posters, stickers, keychains, etc) and more hard information about the upcoming box.

Screen shots, videos of it in use, contests for gear...you know, start up the actual hype machine.

Im with you on that. Im starting to get reallt antzy on seeing the interface. We only got a glimpse of it during the reveal ands that was it

I'm scourging the internet for that one kid, whose daddy works for Microsoft and has a beta unit! Come one we all know its bound to happen!

BAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh man you know it. I htink the last big news we will get will be the release date and some menu pics before it launches.

You'll find that most of Microsoft's current technologies are following their Windows Phone type of user interfaces. So, hopefully this attachment worked so you can see what you get when you look at some google results, but that's pretty much the same as the 360 right now.

I don't think that you're going to see MS change the design of the UI because right now they are really tied up in Windows 8 and Windows Phone and they are really wanting things to match across the board. Another reason is that when things do match, they can make it easier for Games for Windows to do its thing which would be really cool too.

I'm pretty sure that I read that the Friends List is no longer capped at 100, am I going crazy with that memory? What is the new limit?

I know that the game console makers don't want to give too much away before the new consoles are released, but I would really like to know what I will be getting ahead of time. I don't want to stand in line for hours for something, and find out that it wasn't everything I expected it to be.

Well if you're referring to what's in the box, there's a video for that. Xbox Live's Major Nelson » Unboxing Xbox One :
