I agree. We really need this new remote. I had one for my 360. I guess this new one will be better for Xbox One.

from experience since I've had one for Xbox 360 and it really helped me a lot, it would be good for Xbox One as well.

It could have been an "official" leak so that Amazon gets more pre-orders. I believe Amazon gets quite a number of pre-orders for every game console before it is launched.

I am going to look for more information on this remote and see how it is better than the previous ones.

Yeah, my wife is bugging me about it, she did see the ad on amazon but she's still unaware if the release is true, well same here, i'm not really sure if this is real or a hoax since microsoft hasn't said anything about it.

It's real, MSFT confirmed. Amazon did in fact accidentally reveal this remote. It's $25, and will be released next month. Well, your wife can now be happy :-D

to me the biggest part of this device would be...The Media Remote can also control TV/Receiver power and volume through Kinect, which uses IR blasting to send signals to your TV and/or receiver. the fact you can control the tv/volume ect ect.. right now smartglass is great but your still stuck with a tv remote if you have an iphone.

i havn't figured out if you can start the xb1 off smartglass.. i dont thin you can get into the remote function to access the home button... not that i need another remote around.

I got the Logitech Harmony Smart Control. It works Xbone, 360, cable box, Wii, and receiver from ios device. Took some fiddling with but it does a pretty good job.

I'm not sure that I even want this. I mean it looks interesting enough, but as a peripheral it's pretty low on my list of priorites. I think I might skip this, or at the very least buy it much later on. Nothing against it, just not that interested in the product.

In my case I'm still thinking about it. Might not be totally real. I'm still waiting for an official announcement from Microsoft.
