For those who don't know, Doritos and Mountain Dew are doing a promotion in which you get points for purchasing their products. You can use those points to bid on auctions for Xbox one Consoles bundled with a game. They also have limited edition consoles and other items.

Anyone who has gone on, have you won anything? I went on the other day after buying a bag of chips and seeing the promo on the bag. When I got on I saw that the average auction win was around 40,000 points (each big bag of doritios is worth 200). Seems crazy to me that people have that many points. Either they bought a ton of chips and soda or they figured out how to generate codes.

But the limited edition consoles that have are awesome, they have designs of Ryse, Forza or Dead Rising 3. The auction thing is a cool concept, but with the amount you have to pay for chips and soda to rack up enough points for an auction, you might as well just go out and buy a console.

Whoa, that's a lot of bags to buy just to get that many points. And even when you do get the points, it can get higher and higher. Yup, quite a lot to ask for just to get some points for auction. But hey, it's a nice idea. Now there's a new good reason to buy Doritos and Mountain Dew :-D

Well I can say many people had purchased points from eBay and some did over spend but I only spent about half of what it would cost to get the xbox one system..many others just over spent on buying junk food

You've got plenty of time to enjoy it pal. 2014 is a good year. Lots of good games coming out this year. I can finally find a good game to play aside from Dead Rising 3.
