Xbox One Games with Gold "Coming soon"?

I really don't know why they are putting much of their efforts on the entertainment feature of the console rather than focusing on the gaming part which should always come first.

I guess they're trying to set Xbox One apart from the other consoles that are out there.
 
Pretty unhappy with gold. I have a ps3 and 4, and the PS+ value i far better imho. Found the gold cheap online, but still not worth it.
 
At least Xbox One is getting GWG soon, hopefully they deliver on better titles across Xbox 360/Xbox One by the time it lands on X1.

Yeah, I agree with ya. I'm about to hit it awesome with PS+ for a year now and it's awesome. PS3 and Vita here. As for the Gold... haven't owned an Xbox console yet to see benefits but seeing the games offered for free.... I got some of them on PC already and PS3 via PS+ so doesn't look worth it to me at the moment.

"All-in-one console". That's why it's called the Xbox One. But I saw in one thread here, most of the users here use the XB1 for gaming rather than entertainment. Everybody else in their lives are more into entertainment. Somehow, maybe Xbox One's slogan has yet to hit that perfect spark in everybody.

I know. That's really the stark contrast of the Xbox One to the PS4. PS4 is all about the gaming. You can already see it in their ads. Xbox One... mostly about trying to be the "all-in-one". It's kind of like MSFT wants to be "that" console that you'll go to when you think of Netflix or Hulu or Titanfall. It's that console you WILL always go to. And as spark_777 points out, they're already hiring people for their original programming so they're splitting their efforts for the games and entertainment.
 
I remember the talk of of who would leave the gaming arena and I generally felt Xbox would. It wasn't that Xbox would fail and the plug would be pulled, it's just that Xbox would move away from gaming more towards all-around entertainment featuring games as opposed to PlayStation and Nintendo's gaming first featuring general entertainment.

I agree, they really should focus more on gaming rather than wasting their precious time and money doing things that we already have.
 
They probably have a dedicated team working on the gaming project and a separate team working on entertainment.

I guess so. Well I rarely use it for entertainment anyways, I use it a lot for gaming.

Well, it came true. The "all-in-one". MSFT is doing something the gaming companies aren't doing. How they'll succeed... well, we'll have to wait and see.

I guess you're right on that. Like my wife always says, she loves using Xbox One to watch TV and videos online.
 
I've started liking the concept, but well mainly watching my shows using it as a TV tuner.
 
I'd love to have the entertainment concept focused more on gaming and watching videos.

Well I guess time will come when we don't have to use anything else other than Xbox One for gaming and entertainment.
 
It'll be like monopolizing all aspects of the things we like. But I guess that if that did happen, well, the industries of Apple TV, Roku and other devices would go down. Huh... MSFT must really have the ambitious balls to go for the goal of being "all-in-one". Well, we'll see if they can achieve it. If I hear everybody saying that Xbox One is their go-to device, then the all-in-one has been achieved.
 
You might be right. Microsoft wants to like, be the Apple of the gaming industry, by making Xbox One THAT device. Let's see if they can really hit it off.
 
It will happen eventually. They announced that it will be coming soon so we just have to wait a little longer to get this. I'm excited as well, just hope we can get better games this time around.

If that happens.... then who needs the PS4? But.... no, no. I'd still go play on other formats. MSFT may make it happen but you know, I'd still like to have other consoles and devices for me lol. But hey, if MSFT wants to make XB1 the go-to device, it's their call. Almost all of us here in the forums wants it for gaming, everybody else in your lives wants it for entertainment.
