Hey there. So my 360 S has been having trouble reading game discs as of late, specifically it’s been saying it’s reading the disc after it has been inserted then instead of going to the game it stays on the dashboard with the “open tray” option showing instead of “play game.” I have looked online and apparently this is an issue with the laser and that it needs replacement but wanted to double check with anyone with heavy expertise in this matter first before digging into the unit. It is a 360 S (NOT the fat white or elite with the small power button.) Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I have a good amount of OG Xbox save data on this thing and would like to preserve it instead of going out and buying another used one for $80 you know? What’s the point if it’ll just break the same way and I’m forced to replay all those games a second time.
