For me, Kinect is something I would focus on more and having it being integrated and switched back and forth with a Windows OS and the Xbox One. This would be godsend for people that do small team 3D animation and even Game work for several reasons.
The fundamentals like animation is always a pain to get into, especially if a person does hand key rotoscoping or traditional 3D animation key frames. With motion capture programs (e.g. Faceshift for Maya, Ipi Soft, iClone, and others) that take advantage of the Kinect, having some way to change the core of the Kinect for versatile compatibility would have some potential use.
When a person can be flexible with the Kinect to be manipulated for Motion capture to be shifted to 3D work, it can be a useful gem instead worrying about those Motion capture Suits, cameras, and other programs that cost thousands of dollars. It can be a useful way to get a good portfolio going in being a 3D Generalist and such.
Now, for a casual audience, that won’t matter, but when it comes to trying to be part of the actual 3D industry that makes the same games the console would have in its lineup, it just would strengthen the grip a bit more. Not by a lot, but definitely something useful either way.
