Xbox One Midnight release, anyone camping out?

After the catastrophe that was the Midnight Launch of the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3, I've never bothered going to midnight releases for things that are this big. Even in some of the most tame cities, something always happens. I'm sure there's going to be at least one incident tonight in my town at either Best Buy, Wal-Mart, or Gamestop.

Luckily the NYPD has made it a standard to have cops at releases after some serious incidents involving Jordan releases in the past. Maybe I will go, I don't have to be into work till 130 tomorrow.

Yeah, looking at KN1GHTMARE's picture above, I was thinking he might want to go with more than a hoodie if he's gonna be waiting in line in Jersey tonight. Have fun with that. I will be enjoying all the midnight posts in the morning and waiting for the UPS guy to get here with mine.

i am heading out in about 15 minutes to my gamestop... 6pm is when they can start taking payment/giving out fullfillment receipts. it is also when you get you spot in line for later tonight.

I tried so hard to get tomorrow off of work so I could camp out for my console but I was unsuccessful in doing so. Luckily, my buddy is camping out at Best Buy tonight so I will probably spend my weekend at his apartment playing his.

i want to give my gamestop and microsoft props...

the way they have the setup for pre order vs walk in is very fluid. was in and out within 5 minutes.

microsoft/gamestop left a few consoles avaliable for walk in customers. they lined up all the pre order people and gave numbers out to no pro order people. if they exhausted the number the line was then cut off. but still gave a few avaliable to non pr order people(i like this)

they dropped the price of the day one xbox live 12 month subscription to 39 dollars if you got it tonight.

for the price i got another 12 months couldn't go wrong. i also got a xb1 controller charging kit.

i will wait a few weeks to get the bf4 and forza season passes... than i am set for the next few months. need to get some dollars back in the account lol

An hour to go for my Gamestop since I'm in the Central Time Zone. I'm a bit sad that I won't be able to pick up an Xbox ONE for quite a while due to finances. I really, REALLY wanted to play Dead Rising 3 and just experience that "New Toy" feeling I always get when something pricey enters my home. Ah well, best of luck guys!
