Xbox One Project Spark global beta kicks off today for Windows 8.1; Xbox One to follow shortly

I'd like to see it be a success only because so many people talked trash about it. But Project Spark really looks like a game that effort was put into and if what is being said on the boards is true (and I wish that their was video of this) then it seems like something that could really help push the Xbox One for gamers at least. I like the idea of it and I'm glad to see that it's looking great.

Ever since Minecraft garnered its vast and undeniable popularity, there seems to be a rise in these "build anything", constructive, sandbox type games -- not that I am complaining, at all. Unlike a few of the others I have come across, Project Spark appears to take a more unique approach to the concept, but at its core it inevitably lives up to its genre. In the end, however, there are only so many things one may be able to do without delving into a little programming, but hopefully the developers have thought this through, and I would definitely like to see it achieve its full potential.

That sounds pretty cool. Project Spark always sounded like it had amazing potential but just needed people that were ambitious enough to do something great with it. I'm glad to see that the beta is going so well. It's just helping sell me more and more into this game, which could become a major seller for the Xbox One.

Well it can't be a major seller since it's going to be a free to play game. We'll have to wait and see how the microtransactions are approached

Same here dude. I've yet to receive any confirmation I'm in for the beta. I guess it was too late then when I found out the beta was out for Windows 8.1 last week. Awww man, I was really hoping to make a platformer. Oh well, at leas the XB1 users will get a chance next month, like you said.

The current better is only for those who signed up to play on PC; the XB1 beta hasn't started yet.

I see. Ah well then, we'll just wait for you guys then. I wonder what ideas the XB1 forum guys got. Think you can make a game so awesome it'll have Microsoft notice these forums? I can see it now: "kn1ghtmare's lair" Hahaha. Oh yeah.
