Should I get Destiny on Xbox One or 360?

Before anyone jumps the gun, I know that it is much better on One, because of better quality and so on. Bu, my dilemma is that some of my friends want me to get it on 360 because they don't have Xbox One. So what do you guys recommend, considering the game as a whole and the possible gameplay experience with my friends on the 360 or playing alone on the One.

I would pick it up for the Xbox one, simply because it is the newer console. If you would really like to play with your friends though it is a no brainer to pick up the Xbox 360 version. What is a point of playing an online only video game if you can't play with your friends, right?

I would wait it out for reviews. If there's no extreme issues with 360 compared to Xbox One, I would suggest getting 360 to play with your friends (if they haven't got an Xbone by then, that is). I personally like solo play in such games (I love Borderlands solo) but I know that for some people these games are pointless without multiplayer, so I would suggest 360 if you really want to be able to play with friends. Should be a great game as long as 360 and Xbone versions are identical in everything except graphics.

Xbone no doubt. It really wouldn't make much sense to get the older game imo even with more friends on 360

For me, I've sold and/or traded-in all my Xbox 360s and am all XB1 now.

When I had both, I did get games on both platforms to see how they'd be visually when compared with one another.

Honestly, I wouldn't get it for the 360 if you have an XB1, unless the game you're playing requires friends to do so, and you simply don't have friends on the XB1 yet.

Definitely go with the Xbox One Destiny. The game will be more polished and will feature better graphics. Millions of people will be playing Destiny on the Xbox One, and I'm sure some of your friends will have it by then, too. More and more people are going to buy the One as better games start to become available. The days of struggling to find friends that own the console are going to be over sooner rather than later.

It all depends on how many people you want to play with. The Xbone still doesn't have a lot of units out so I'm not sure how many players will honestly be on the Xbone version.

But there are over 2 million Xbox One's in the United States and then over 3 million elsewhere, right? You won't have trouble finding people to play with upon release. Those servers are going to be packed with people playing Destiny and trying to rank up. The experience is going to be more smooth and enjoyable on the One compared to the Xbox 360, and there's no way you'll catch me playing this one on the lesser console, no matter how many more people are playing the 360 version. The One will still have thousands upon thousands of active players around the clock.

The Xbox One version. Haven't played the 360 one, but the One beta rocks! I'm sure 360 will be good, but better graphics on the XBO, no brainer...

Not sure if you have a Gold membership or not on the One but the other day they were doing Beta for it if you are a Gold member. Check in the Store I believe and then the games section.

Yep, pretty much this. You'll find more people playing on the 360 because people are still hesitant to pick up the Xbone. Although that may change with rumours that Microsoft is set to take the kinect out of the bundle, and announce a console only bundle in the coming months.

well even if you got it for Xbox one couldn't you play it with your friend on Live even if they had a 360?

i liked the beta... i was really on the down side of destiny pre beta... a nay sayer.. was like ehh its a fps with a multiplayer aspect... its not going to feel right.... i even went as far as saying its a nother titanfall ploy... hype it up beta it and get it in the masses hands but months later it will fall on its face hard..

idk tho.. i have defiantly come around on destiny... i think the beta could use some polishing i hope they nerf a few things to make it a bit more difficult... i have a worry about map size or maps... the beta really had 1 that was "explorable" and why it was a decently big map it was a very repetitive map.. you could grind it and walk thru the same area 5 times in 20 minutes if you were4 fast enough or could tank missions...

all in all tho if you have an xb1 id say go for it.... i have had more requests/adds from strangers who are in the same boat where they early adopted and some friends didn't and just want people to play with... if you have a ton of friends on 360 that u play with regularly than go that route... but id rather then ew game on new system and make new friends than stay so old school...

i may go pay for/pree order the game tommorow so i havei t at launch...

does anyone know if the beta/character is transferable to the whole game?

Nope they didn't make them cross-compatible. Blame bungie for that one.

No doubt get it on the Xbox One. Why would you want to play the game on last gen when you've got the new gen which is better in every way? Unless your friends still haven't made the jump yet then maybe you can consider to get it for the 360. Personally, I'm still on the fence on buying the game. Played the beta and didn't find anything particular groundbreaking. If I do, I'll also be picking it up on the Xbox One.

I think playing with your friends is what will make Destiny great. I know I had a blast doing those strikemissions with my buddies, and bantering about how bad some of them are. Because of that, I'd get it for 360. But it does seem like a bit of a waste having the One when you'll be playing on the 360 more. :P

If you want to play with friends and you're positive that they'll grab it for the 360, go for it. But chances are they'll buy an XBox One sooner or later so maybe it's better to think in advance and buy it for the XBox One. Another thing to consider is what console you'll play more and I'm guessing it's the XBox1.

I personally thought that XB1 graphics were way better then the 360 version. i would go with that one.

i never seen the graphics on the 360.. but i didn't think the graphics were bad... i also wasnt picking at it thinking ohh the graphics are going to ruin the game.. i still feel the multiplayer aspect is whats going to really stress test the game and how servers work.. i think bunggie has it sorted out better than ea did with bf4... and i would think bungie is going to use micrsoft dedicated servers as well.. if not i will question how stable it is and not blame my network on in game issues...
